Hippy - don't get lost.

Don't care how fast it is. I'm not racing if it's gonna wash off the magic jizz on my chain.
-
• #18379
Fuck. You're the second person that's said it's 'complicated'.

Does it start RHS of the bridge and go around almost 360 degree?

It's OK, he'll still be visible from space in case search parties have to be sent out.
-
• #18382
Yeah, start facing SE, and keep left, going back down the slip road until you are back on the dual carriageway.

I'm always stressed at the start.
I didn't DNF. But I guess my rolling across the line waving, like I'd been dropped from the club run, meant they didn't bother noting my time. Funny, coz neither did I.

Ah. Not a good run then? Mine started badly due to the fact I thought I was number 62, when I was actually 61. It got worse, as after 30km my bladder reminded me of the two pints and two large glasses of wine from the evening before in unignorably insistent terms.

Looks like some not-so-subtle innuendo in the thread beneath this tweet. What’s the word on the scene?

Ludicrous engine and low CdA. Nothing suspect.

He is a former Continental pro, who is still supporting himself from his cycling, sponsored by experts in time trialling and aerodynamics, and has a single-minded focus on breaking competition records.

Also the Zippy guy has posted about Brexit and retweeted Tory MPs. His dislike of Białobłocki may not just be based on legitimate concerns.
Brexit Britain might just not be ready for someone fast with a foreign name, coming over here and taking our records.

He was 9th yes 9th and a brutal worlds course. He’s on another level to anyone in the UK, except proper professionals.
Some people are so happy to just throw shit at others.

No, I shouldn't have bothered. I only rolled around because I couldn't get off the Awhatever.
I was tired to begin with with the start time, still sore from gym and my left leg numbness came back and fucked up any chance of staying tucked for the race and after 10-20mi my head was out of the game and I gave up.I'm going to have to find a way to open my hip angle up even more. I've tried most stuff but I may need to alter my position a lot, which is going to mean going backwards in terms of aeroz.
Bit annoying that after resigning myself to not DNFing I was still DNFd. At least I don't have a time to haunt me. That course would be fast if I could ride it clean though - I was sat up and rolling along at 26mph without trying. Weeeee

Anyone who's faster than (insert fat 4th cat here) is either on gear or using a motor. It's all a bit silly but they can usually be put into the 'flat earther' category and ignored.

you just have to look at the BC TT results to see that its perfectly reasonable for a WT Pro decent TTer to put serious time into the best domestic TTers, regardless of how much time and or money is spent making them as aero as possible....
For example, Dan Bigham got beaten by Geriant Thomas this year by 2.5 minutes over 27 miles

Yeah, totally. Are these rumour mongers just unaware of his pro status (unlikely) or are they just going for the retweets or something?
-
• #18395
Or are they just xenophobic, bigoted and gammony?

• #18396
This, I think.

The data on Strava is impressive. Steady cadence and HR and massive power.

That's odd, because (assuming I've correctly identified you from the photos) your hip angle doesn't look that extreme. What length cranks are you running?

That's because we've already done lots already to open it up - 165mm cranks, adjusted saddle height and fore/aft, etc. So it might not be extreme but we still don't know what is causing this so it could be that years of doing stupid long miles in a TT position has fucked my arteries/veins/nerves in the hip flexor area (O'Grady and some other pros have had surgery for the artery thing).
I don't remember it being an issue during the 25 whereas it was 2 years ago so perhaps duration in aerobars is a factor (TABR). My excess body fat is and large thighs are probably contributing factors and my clotty blood probably isn't helping. Basically, I'm fucked and need to pick another sport.
In this heat, rain will prob mean a drop in air pressure and faster conditions. Last time on this course it rained on and off and I did a mad time and the current comp record was set.
Everyone should watch out for the pot holes on the slip road up to the start, it's dodgy as fuck and you don't gain any time getting to the start. Also, the slip road after you set off it a tight bend so don't get too exited.
Smash your pbs everyone.
Edit - too late, you are prob all in bed.
