Great thanks - will have a read. I suspect recruitment may be a problem for what is a relatively* small club.

i have no details of the course
Ride up and down the A31 from Chawton to Farnham until you die of boredom :) The 12 course isn't listed on the district site, but the 100 course uses the same loop, although I think the start point for the 12 is different. The finishing circuit is just the Holybourne to Farnham part of the main circuit.
The start sheet should be out by Tuesday with all the other details on it, AFAIK HQ is Beech Village Hall

Also faster than kate on her own too
By one second, on a course that's about a minute faster :)

Technicality!
But based on a limited sample, the people who raced on Monday weren't faster here than they were on Monday!

2nd pb in 2 days, 54:20 on h25/2 for 10th place, shat the bed coming down the hill and actually put the brakes on, thankfully said wind was in the kindest direction to blow my home along the a4!

Quality field for the Newbury 12. I think both men and women's CRs will go (Harrison & Wilkinson) assuming reasonable conditions.

something twisted that the prize money for winning would probably fail to cover the amount you must need to eat for a 12hr!
good luck!

The slow riders are already paying for the fast riders' lunches, surely you wouldn't add insult to injury by asking them to pay for foie gras and caviar?

Rach E's flapjack is available in 'moreorless unlimited' quantities at the feed station so I'm now rethinking my feed strategy.

Are 12s about slow/fast riders, or is it more about attrition and stamina?
-
• #15815
Well a chunky ftp will obviously help. The winner will do over 26mph so aerodynamics matters too.
But being able to suffer is a big part of it all. And pacing. And fuelling. And not getting punctuers.

...and not breaking your tribars on the slab joints between Holybourne and Chawton.

Are 12s about slow/fast riders
More or less. There will be some position swapping, but to a large extent you could predict the outcome of a 12 by making everybody ride the 10 mile course on Saturday.

Loctiting every bolt on the bike in Saturday!
I had a bottle fall out of my saddle carrier on Sunday... on the smooth section :/

Do you still want the 3T clips for your road bike? I PMed you about pick up, but heard nothing over the weekend.

Is the start sheet out for the Newbury 12, I can't find it anywhere.
-
• #15821
It's on the CTT website
-
• #15822
Fuck, I'd be pleased with sustaining 26mph over an hour, let alone 12.
