  • Bad luck. I'm off before you and even though I'm pretty local it's still too early for me!

  • I had to get up at 4:15am after a tough week back at work after Easter holidays. After grinding up the first half of the course with my legs making a big fuss (not to mention the hill climb to the start), by the time I got to the slip road for the roundabout I was ready to call it a day. It's not really a fixed gear friendly course, over-geared on the way out and under-geared on the way back. The way back actually felt quite nice though and I was pleasantly surprised with 24:52 considering how horrible it felt at first.

  • Well played, good time for fixed, especially with the uphill first half into the wind this morning. I struggled to a 23:47, but considering I had 2 1/2 months of minimal riding and virtually zero training from early January, I'll take it.

  • Any of you dudes need some TT kit before I put up a proper ad?

Corima disc, carbon clincher, llspd (comes with 10spd 105 and spacer). Few little dings but runs well - £250

Rotor MAS chainset, 172.5, 110bcd, 53/39 aero rings, done ten TTs, perfect condition - £150

Zipp R2C (return to centre) shifters. 10spd. Few scratches but functionally great - £50

Can email/DM more detailed pics of needed.

  • Oof, Corima disc for £250...I don't suppose it's one that can be converted to track is it? I don't think Corima do a swappable axle but if I'm wrong I'll take it.

  • Are the Zipp R2C for Shimano or SRAM?

"Potential dibs for a friend" etc if Shimano.

  • Honestly have no idea about the conversion to track! Not something I've ever needed to consider. Will try upload some pics

  • Corima need to go back to the factory to be drilled for track conversions

  • Ok, thanks.

She's out for the afternoon, but I'll speak to her later.

  • Dibs/very interested in the rear disk. I'm on a train on the way to Bentley. Shall I set a target time, and if I come in under that, I'll treat myself?

  • Do it! I've no idea what your PB is so won't suggest a target! Proper pic below.

  • surely if you don't come in under your target time you should buy it to help you next time

  • Very true. Not really sure what I'm aiming for today, never ridden the course.

  • Yup, she'll take 'em please.

I'm down the pub ATM, will PM later or you can send me your PP deets in the meantime.

  • 3rd at BUCS 25 today. Was on an absolute ride, legs just got better and better, not felt like that in a while. But didn't know I'd go so well so went out too easy, 2nd half was a lot faster.

Shame to miss first by 11 seconds. But hey ho.

    Nice to meet you @ThomasdeGlynt

  • Likewise! Funny you knew Dave aswell, small world. Kudos on the ride & thanks for the prev. Position advice! Averaged 245 for the 10 and held 270 for the 25 today!

  • Well done @skinny.

@Ottomanotter - I based on some very questionable calculations I set myself a target of a 58 and managed to do a 57.03 so I will prob be in touch tomorrow regarding that disk. It will get me the 4 secs right?

  • Averaged 245 for the 10 and held 270 for the 25 today

    Nice! What did you change?

  • Good ride man! Wheel will certainly save you some time. Less training moar discz.

Great ride Skinny, love those days where the power keeps coming.

  • Cheers - moved the saddle back 2cm. Bars up 1cm. Small change but has made a big difference

  • If cjr doesn't want it I'll buy it

  • I did the VTTA race on the B10/35 course this morning, and did a 21:56 to put me 3rd overall on scratch. I didn't quite manage to get my distance PB down - that's a 21:48 set on the E2/10, but it was the first time I've managed to average 300W NP for a whole race, albeit only a 10, so I'm happy with that. Time to get back on the E2/10, I think.

  • E2/10 is a pretty quick course. Not mad fast due to the wind, but it's quick. So it's hard to beat a time from there unless you get a really good day somewhere else. Or go to a cheat course. So nice work!
