If anyone knows of any club events out east london/essex it would be great to know. I will do a couple of the LVCC tues 10's at the Olympic park, but the traffic and the number of turns doesn't lend itself to fast times.
Getting there by bike or public transport, so not sure I will be making it to Reading or Maidenhead from Hackney!

Does that get you into open events on the Tring course
The Hemel event has 240 places and the late season VC10 event has 300, so getting a ride on the F11 shouldn't be a problem, nearly everybody gets in.

apart from the few very fast courses (ie Hull) you will get an entry, as very few TTs have a full field.
This is true. I've not had a entry sent back since the 1980s, although my dad did fail to make the cut on the H25/8 a year or two ago due to the event being part of the SEWTTS and attracting loads more women than normal events on that course.

What's the F11 like now?
It was rechipped back when if I remeber right. -

What's the F11 like now?
I didn't actually get a go on it last year. I think it was pretty slow (by F11 standards; still easily the quickest course around here) immediately after resurfacing, but people who ride it a lot suggest that at least half the losses from the chipping have come back now that it's bedded in.

Might give it a go if I can.
Thanks. -

Fair enough, my experience is limited, but I only got a ride on a MM. Event on p885/5 as a reserve (I had no PB) and a club mate didn't get on h25/8 for exactly the same reason. Lots of the slightly faster courses round here seem to fill up (with plenty of slow people admittedly) but without a time in the box even absolute weapons get priority over you...

Event on p885
a: the P885 is considered fast and b: that was an event with only 70 spaces.
The only times I've known the H25/8 to be full recently have been the aforementioned SEWTTS events.

@Sainsburys_Ed I'm sure have the ability to make anything I ride into a slow event.

27:21, 12th
Although fun, definitely not my forte. Won by roadie-types who's thighs are skinnier than my calves and arms skinnier than my, well, you get the idea. Lumpy, windy, cold but it made an interesting aim for what would've been an otherwise boring long training ride.

I just did the North Road Hardriders on my road bike as my second ever TT (first was a summer 10 in Hillingdon). Stupid fall in Hertford. Finished in 1:15:11, slower than I wanted, but I'm sort of OK with it. I can see the appeal. I'm too bloody fat for hills though

Welcome to my world. Still, can't be good at everything, just most things ;)

Are Wiggle ok about skin suit returns? I'm never sure about the fit on Castelli kit, but I might buy a couple of sizes to try on and then send one of them back.

• #11894
I sent one back. No problems.

• #11895
Waited till I got home and all the ones in my size(s) in both colours out of stock... humph.

Three cheers for NEW SHIT!

Nice. Must be, as I have one - assuming that's a Super9 and not a 900.

Is there no end to the support Mal provides?

That's me holding it. She was chief camera bitch.

I think you'll find that now I own one it confirms that you had in fact made the right decision.
Unless, of course, yours is Campag and/or tubular.
@cjr your unlikely to get into most open 10 or 25 without a lts time, the good news is that most club TTs start at the end of March, with plenty of 10s and a few 25s knocking about, so plenty of scope to get some good times in before entering opens, it is a risk travelling to an event without guaranteed entry but if you get there nice and early you're very unlikely to have a problem even on the most popular courses!
Between Reading, Middlesex and Maidenhead there are club events 2 nights a week from March and 3 nights from May all within pretty easy access of London.
