I spoke to Luke about this a couple of days ago, but he was adamant on not being of close proximity to "a bunch of hippies". Considering we didn't end up meeting the guys from London on IoW, this could be cool. Only about 40 miles apparently.
I'm up for that.

40 miles = 64,373.76 metres
64,373.76 / 5.985 = 10755.85 revolutions
10,755.85 revs / 60 minutes = 179.264 RPM

or

(miles * 1,609.344) / (GI * 0.0254π) / 60 = 179.272 RPM to be precise

The red one is almost done now, just need chainring bolts which should come this week. It's got 72.7 GI fixed and 77.2 GI freewheel.

Hmm, are there greater risks envolved using a geared bike? Could the gears act as a risk multiplier? Something to consider for that risk assessment :p
