I just had such a fun 10 mile ride.
Had a massive smile on my face the whole way. Skidded for ages down the south side of waterloo bridge. All the major roads are rideable. The little ones less so, but you can still get somewhere.:) Glad I had a lower gear on though. Wouldn't have enjoyed 48x16 I don't think.

Can't decide if I'm happy to be leaving or not.
Pushing the bike most of the way home I reckon.

The little ones less so, but you can still get somewhere.I'm glad someone enjoyed it! was the most hellish cycling experience for me and I've been 20miles today. Have never felt so vulnerable and scared on the roads, cars driving way too close - I came off on Walworth rd knowing that the landrover behind was too close, he hit the brakes and just skidded towards me, glad not to be squashed. Also got knocked off twice by kids throwing snowballs.
HFTU? no way, from now on I'm on the soft side.
Be careful if you're going to ride. -

The kids throwing snowballs was a definite downside, I'll give you that, but on the whole I found Cars and taxis to be really responsible. I guess you could say I just found it really exciting.

My wife's branch of M+S has been wiped out by a wave of really middle-class panic buying of food; if you were thinking of picking some antipasto in Greenwich on the way home you can forget it.

Fuck! panic buying. I need to get on this.
I'm going to panic buy some air from BLB.
For those in need of antipasto in Greenwich I suggest heading to Chalrton Sainsburys.

OK ride in by mtb this morning, but the slithering cars made me a little edgey. That and my brakes not working (I think they were just never drying out).
Decided to walk home, although that took almost an hour and wasn't much fun.
Those of us from snowier climes were despairing at the inability to run buses, trains or properly clear roads. But I do understand that this is a 20-year phenomenon.

Just been out - roads in central are just slush. Not as slippery as it was this morning, just unpleasantly wet.

I just panic bought more coffee machine parts and a sportive entry.. I think my priorities are wonky.
-
• #369
ha, you still trying to fix that machine. FAIL!
-
• #370
No, THAT machine has been working fine since the solenoid arrived. The second machine is awaiting a handle holder doovy wacky before I sell it and the third machine which I bought in working condition arrived with a smashed water reservoir. How the fuck they smashed it in transit I have no idea.. it's encased in a metal box which was surrounded by cardboard box filled with bubble wrap. Epic post fail. I've ordered a spare anyway.
Anyone wanna buy a Gaggia coffee machine? :)

Made it home without any wipeouts. One close call with a chav propelled snow ball was the peak of excitement. Going to throw some snowballs at people myself now
-
• #372
I'm going to throw my bike at people on the way in tomorrow.. just for a laugh, like.
-
• #373
My bike today when I got at my work :D

I'm panic buying stink bombs, naked lady playing cards, door bells made out of boobies, and joke chewing gum.
My priorities are solid.

So, how are the fourth, fifth, and sixth machines doing?
I think we should be told.
Direct quote from MD in email this morning:
"To those that, either, had no travel options or tried and thought better of it, I trust that you have ventured out to make a snowman or throw a snowball!"
Horrah for snow
