+1
Some people don't deserve inflated bicycle tyres.

Havent bought the CO2 thingie yet TBH (or ever used one). I just want something uber small and pre packed on the bike, for emergencys, like the Parkools patches I seem to have all over the place but never use. I have some NoTubes for the 29er, which doesnt like CO2 anyway. So a
mininano pump would be better. What the smallest mini pump I could get?

I'm not sure but I know Hops had / has this cool tiny carbon fiber one, I think it was high pressure low volume though so maybe not for the 29er tyres.

Its more for the fixed (and roadie when I get one). I imagine I'll have a back pack most of the time I'm out on the 29er anyway, and can chuck my crank bros jobbie in there.
I have a track pump at home, so dont realy give a poo if it doesnt function too well. Just a get me home solution.
Might get a tiny crank bros, as I pretty happy with the one I have on the commuter.

What the smallest mini pump I could get?Proper minipump clipped to frame - why do you need smaller?

Fixed. :)
Pah. I don't travel by public transport you plebeian, I have a company car and a trailer with 25 bikes inside it.
But, I would if I didn't know how to repair a puncture.
I was once asked (re: fakengers) "but what do they carry in those bags?"
Foolishly, I answered "bike stuff, tools, food I suppose".Now I see the real possibility of people riding bikes and carrying bags with no practical connection between the two.
Dark times, my dear Hippy.

Cuz I care what my bike looks like ;)
....or because if I can fit it in that lovely conti saddle bag I can switch it between skinny tyred bikes easily [/forgetful idiot]
I wont be using it anyway. That'd be who ever I call to drive out and fix my puncture for me admires nails

Damn.. van man.. I could've roped you into helping us move. :P
Yeah, I'm sure there's a large percentage of riders out there who
- Don't consider what happens when they flat at all.
- If they do, think "there's an app for that" and hope their fscking iClone will be able to fix it for them.

If my frame was'nt already full of sex aids and make up, I would'nt have to put my pump in my saddle bag, would I now.
This beggars belief.
BTW Smallfurry - don't you want this:A massive 160mm long. The crank bros one is 143mm (but fat), and the Blackburn 157mm.
Totally.
Thats enough about pumps, sorry to derail a already fail worthy thread and rehash the whole which pump to pump thing.

Only weighs 55gms though.
You can then use the 3gm saving on cake (crumbs).

I'd be getting the alu version anyway. Carbon fiber ate my hamster.

Had my first puncture in ages a week or so back, whipped out my tool-roll; spanners, levers, spare tube and nimble fingers have me all set for a bit of pumping. I engage the pump (it has one of those screw on hose extenders like all old pumps used to have) and the valve snaps off in the hose.
So despite also carrying a repair kit to fix the tube I'd taken off I still had to walk half an hour to the nearest Evans for the use of their pump.
I now carry 2 pumps, given I managed to get the sheared off bit of valve out the old pump using 2 needle-nose pliers and a Black and Decker Workmate, so I may start carrying those around too.
Sorry to prolong a pointless thread with a pointless story.

Punctures are just a marketing and sales tool for Specialized— fight the power, ride the rim.

This is an example of why I feel the Merged Threads thingy isn't working as its currently set up.
Most peeps replying late, would think they're replying to the OP, and not realise its to Post 63. -

merged threads are bullshit ones anyway so it makes no difference. These two pointless threads merge well.
I dont understand why people dont have at least one of these hanging from the saddle. 1 x tube + 2 x tyre levers with space for a spanner, a pac of pre glued patches, and a lttle pump. Its bloody tiny.

I have one on the fixed, and you can barely see it.
I'm putting together a near identical set-up for the 29er; and
have a slightly bigger saddle bag on the utility bike, which I have more tools in (travel further on this bike).
Saddlebags FTW.
