ok, but some races will be on sky sports like TDU? how do we know which ones? i mean, i would pay the extra subscription but if it's just odds and sods it's annoying.

the pursuit boys put in a 4.11 today in Beijing - as Hippy mentioned, the track was not televised.
Not happy. Set up the Sky Player to record it - came back in from a Sunday ride, got some Java on the brew, and was faced with that toothy spaniard Nadal.

Its in the news and events package, but to add individual channels I think you have to call and pay way over the odds.

thanks guys, looking into it now. stupid me looking in "sports"! i want it by april for the classics.

I found myself Sky Sports very rarely so killed it off. They had the TDU and maybe 1 or 2 other cycling events during the year but Eurosport get all the big stuff.

one good thing about sky sports is that you can ring up and add it for one month, say to watch the cricket or something, then turn it off again. no minimum 12 month subscription or bollocks like that.

and Eurosports HD TDF coverage last year was a knockout. helicopter shots of the alps etc - breathtaking. just about made up for the dull racing in the middle week of the tour.

Is it only the national champion who can wear his country's colours in the time trial, not the nation time trial champion, i.e. Wiggins?

You can wear the champions colours (national or world) if you earned them in that discipline. As far as I know.
