Actually it does look like that viewing it again. He was trying to push him of his own shoulder into the gap that the rider in front had left but dragged him too far across and they ended up hitting the legs of the fencing. .
You can see Bos push Impey forward but he kinda freaks and steers over, taking them all down.

It looks as if Bos is having a very smooth transition to road riding and making lots of friends. Impey's expectation was probably that Bos would ease off and cede his position to Impey?
-
• #254
Sprinters don't ease off.. they wait for others to ease off :)
What was Impey doing up there anyway? He should've been staying out of the sprint as GC leader. -

I don't know why Bos has gone onto the road...
mad footage though, he was a bit of a hero to me, WR 200 and all that

I watched the Amstel Gold this year, and a few of the stages in Turkey, but haven't caught much else. Once they end I feel a bit guilty that I'm just sitting at home, so I usually go on a little ride. Next time I'm going to stay in and watch Lance's jaunty update program :)

Go for a ride beforehand, make yourself too tired to do anything other than flake out at home.. watch tv guilt free! :)

Apparently, there is a lot of whinging about how the public only view Olympic success as real success and for him, its not really that important.
-
• #266
yeah, the olympics and the the public perception of the track world champs, where we did well but because we did'nt win every gold the press and public gave the team a slagging.
theres alot about anti doping and drugs in sport, i wtched a clip and i'm sure cav siad that he gave half of his prize money to anti doping bodies.he'll get 3 or 4 stage wins in the giro.hopefully more.
-
• #267
Yeah its rediculous, all the good our massive wins at the Olympics did for the sport, our 'Failure*' at the world champs undid.
- read massive success, but not winning every gold going.

instead of reporting Boonen coke scandal (this morning BBC Breakfast). why can't the british press fucking report some positives for pro cycling.. lets see how many broadsheets, tabloids, Andrew Marr mention the Giro, Cav and the Columbia-Highroad TTT success in the morning..
have many stage wins did Cav get last year in the TDF??

What an arrogant sun of a gun.
His CW quote him report '“I think I'm quite well known for erupting just after crossing the finish line but when I calmed down I realised I'd been a dickhead,” he said with a smile.

What an arrogant son of a gun, he's dynamite! We need more like him doing the biz on the road.
Cycling Weekly qouted him as saying post win “I think I'm quite well known for erupting just after crossing the finish line but when I calmed down I realised I'd been a dickhead,” he said with a smile.
