t would just be nice if it had occurred to them to do just a bit of product testing before releasing the frame.
Can I says budget frame again?

Are you saying a budget frame shouldn't be tested?
This is all getting very silly and circular.
Basically you're coming down to the concept that if a frame is inexpensive, then it's the customer's fault if its flawed.
That's awful bullshit.
Also the Pre Cursa is designed by Dolan, it's not an off the shelf design.
There are many reasons why a frame should be budget - lower grade materials, quicker manufacturing method, simpler design - reduction in functionality in areas such as weight and aerodynamics that add to manufacturing cost and r&d etc. You don't make it budget by not doing basic testing that any manufacturer should do to ensure it's road worthy - they already did that testing, sending photos for just one person earlier in the thread so it's obviously something that isn't outside of the cost of designing a budget frame.
Wasn't there also a case a year or two back of a fairly high end frame having serious issues with tyre clearances at smaller frame sizes? Manufacturers make mistakes. The cost of the frame is not the cause, and that certainly isn't the customer's fault. I hope you don't treat your customers like that.

It's a tested design that we can says, however I doubt it been tested regularly, which in this case they forget to accumulated the crank spindle/chainring spacing on the chainstay.
Can I also point out that the only flaw was that the Omnium chainset wasn't compatible with the Precursa? it would technically be a flawed frames if they couldn't accumulate the majority of track chainset.

Manufacturers make mistakes.
That they do, Dahon/Tern is well known for cracking right at the fold without warning and cause serious harm to the rider (and still sell them by the boatload).

You could look at this the other way and point the finger at SRAM for designing a crankset that doesn't fit on all frames. If it is only the Omnium's that don't fit on the pre cursa then you need to ask why they have been designed in such a way that needs more tolerance on chain stay.
Also not sure they are "the most popular track chainset" is there a top ten chart I have missed....

To be fair, I had to use a Campa 111mm BB to make the Sugino75 fit after failing with the Omniums – and it's not exactly ISO clearance now either.

Even I'm bored of this debate now. Let's put it to bed and hope they fit on the next batch.
P.S. That Kanye gif is great. -

After testfitting the Omniums, I thought I'd jazz it up a bit more. Maybe silver seatpost and a pair of silver Fleegles?

Cheers! Think I remember it now. Tester-approved, I believe.
Looking at saving some weight over stock Alpina in future.
Yeah, I saw that. I'm a Dolan fanboi and I really like the look of the new frame, it would just be nice if it had occurred to them to do just a bit of product testing before releasing the frame. That way they could have raised the issue, rather than a buyer on this forum. Someone mentioned that it's small market, but the reality is that Dolan will sell a lot of these frames over the next couple of years.
