Did someone once post a picture of a PC with full SKS mudguards? I know you can bodge them onto the road forks with P clips. But what about the rear? They have screw thread in the rear drop out for the metal supports but how have people attached to the brake bridge/behind the BB?
I'm thinking this has all the marks of a Scoble mod.

Hey guys was wondering what you all run for a bottom bracket on your pre cursa's , find bottom brackets complicated enough without mention of it not giving clearance for the cranks ect
-
• #1509
What cranks are you running?

Gxp bb

Planning to buy one of these FXE framesets when they're back in stock to run as an all weather bike with a front brake and mudguards.
Anyone who's bought a framset from them - did the steerer turn up pre-cut? I'm swapping all parts over from another frame so I know the precise length I need the steerer to be and am going to request that when I'm ordering.
Also did it come with a star nut installed?

I believe uncut and un-starnutted - give them a ring.
-
• #1514
yup give em a ring. they cut my steerer for me, though i would of been happier doing it myself. not the neatest of jobs.

Was planning on getting a miche primato crankset for my pre cursa framset but heard about there being an issue with chainstay rubbing etc. Would this be a decent enough alternative in that range?
Sugino RD2-MC Messanger http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/CSSGRDMC...enger_chainsetIf I did just go for the primato set with a bigger bb does it affect the chainline etc?
Thanks

I'd go with these, I know they won't rub on the stay and are brilliant cranks for the money, far better than primatos or rd2s.

Nice one, thank you.

Don't suppose you know the weight of it?

Going with sugino rd2's most likely , will I need a 103 or 107mm bottom bracket and will I just need a square taper or are there different square tapers?
Sorry I'm useless with bottom bracket lengths ect -
• #1520
you can get a 103 sugino BB, perfect match, obviously

Won't be a issue with the chainstays being so flared? and could I go with any 103mm JIS taper BB?
