So where are when is this likely to be? Are we still talking about informal practices here or full on organised rounds of drag races?!

I think Gus is organising a full-on event in the spring.

The discussion from today was just about trying to get a few people together to try out drag racing. Mainly for those who haven't tried it before, but also for anyone else who wants to come along.

The spring thing sounds pretty good, though I wouldn't mind giving it a go now, even if it's just a few of us meeting and practicing.

A fair race is allowing competitors the ability to use the best gear suited to their physiology. Why restrict gear selection? If you pick the wrong gear you fail. Brill.

I agree with hippy, gear selection shouldn't come into this kinda thing, it should be all about the individuals ability.

To be honest it would be a bit of a waste if it was just 2 people (as it looks so far) so unless we get at least 2/3 more I can't see it going ahead.

Yeah I've already seen where the original suggested site was, but why the hell does nobody want to tell me where the mall is?!

I'll try to encourage a few others to join ranks and get some practice runs in.

wanted to give this a bump and see if anyone was interested in running some sprints in another corner of London before we return to the Wick...be good to have others in South and West London (heard rumours of some people running some in north London). Not too much to it - hardest part is finding a stretch of road/path where you're not going to have to deal with traffic.

If anyone is interested, drop me a line...happy to give my 2p worth
