motherfuckin 26 miles motherfuckers. that's just too long for some of you motherfuckers you best bring some diapers and some motherfuckin tissues to cry in.

6am is the motherfuckin time I get up to go to the motherfuckin toilet in the middle of the motherfuckin night. This better be motherfuckin worth it.

no one ever wanted to cap it (how would that work anyway? You can't physically stop people from turning up) but the more sensible option of staggered starts in smaller groups has been voiced..

Even if you do it 10 peeps at a time, how many groups will actually make it through with out hassle from do good peds or the po po. I dont want to sound like a grumpy old git, but it has got out of hand and there are still people walking around on the course. So the chance of an accident at one of the busy parts of the course ie tower bridge is higher than on a normal day when its open as normal.

I can't see that a 6am kick off will be anything other than a legal ride on open roads unless you're a real slow fucker - the last couple of miles perhaps a slight problem. Did you have any issues last year and/or did you set off after the closures had kicked in?

Good stuff. I'm really stoked about this ride, travelling down to make it. Not too worried about riding closed roads, though I doubt I'm fast enough to avoid them all!

If there's a bunch of guys/girls good to go at 6 on the dot (not a minute later!) I'm sure it'll be a wheeze.

the road closure timings on sunday are:

Greenwich / Woolwich – from 630
Whitehall - from 700
Southwark / Tower Bridge / isle of the dogs – from 800

if we start at 6 tower bridge - 630 greenwich then 7 through isle dogs ...etc the only problem might be whitehall as there is bounds of cops/stewards around there and there is no-way we are going to get there by 7!...

but all the same who really cares about numbers? what ever happens happens i'm sure (if it is a nice morning) that no matter where we end up it will be nice.

having done this ride last year:
We rode, up until we crossed the Thames using the Greenwich Foot Tunnels, on roads that hadn't been closed.
Nevertheless there were few cars. This was not as awesome as the ride thereafter, which was amazing.

If even half the people turn up, you are going to have issues.

The police were nice to us, but the response we got at the end of the ride is indicative of what I think you are going to get the whole way round-
i.e. piss off.

It was an amazing ride, and if you all want to do it, don't meet up and go for separate start times, have feeder points from the corners of London, and start at a random place and end at a common place.
Thus it won't look like an en masse invasion of the course.
