Good Polo video

i think goalie-ing/defence is part of polo... making someone tap out/footdown is another question

making someone tap out in the way dale does it (albiet he actually takes himself out of the game and ignores scoring chances cause he's being an irritating little bug) i think is fine, legal, whatever. sweeping the mallet, a light nudge, etc, are fine, but it's malicious play (hacking) or dangerous play (t-boning) that isn't polo.

They're not that good.
Like ray says its the way it's been edited, slowed down etc.
I'm sure if we made a vid of our throw-in sessions it would look better than that!

If someone is sitting in goal, I will almost definitely have a go at their mallet, and sometimes give a little shoulder to shoulder. Why not?

T-boning on the other hand, like in the NYC in Mad video is out of order, despite the fact that it was quite a clever move.

T-boning is bullshit. he drops the ball to his team mate then cynically takes out the goaling T-on. If he hooked his mallet or rode up next to him to block him etc, fair enough i think but how can you actually defend against T-boning, in goal or not.

Its all in the edit also, goal goal goal, that bad v zmy game is really long and it's just a simple camera A, camera B edit. But in my mind aidos goal through the legs of Yorgo, Mike, where the camera can't even see it is genius. They couldn't do that in america, no, not possible, never. ;)
As far as filming goes, i've been coming to souths with camera a few times Todd, even skated in bewteen games, its been good, you'll have to come down, its oh...tonite tonite.

i think the main problem about T-boning is that the person is goal is likely to be hurt etc.

if i was sitting in goal i would certainly rather get out the way and let in a goal, than risk my bike being written off or breaking a leg.

Agreed, but i think the move in that vid over stepped the mark. Fair enough to swipe their mallet or give them a nudge but full on ride into them is not on. T-boning like that wouldn't be aloud anywhere else on the court so why in goal. Definetly comes under the 'don't be a dick rule'

I have NEVER seen a t-bone called, in a league or a tournament game.

I didn't t-bone him; it was more a ram than a t-bone. No arguments though, it was dirty play, against a dirty team, in a dirty game.
