  • Just put an order in with flavourly for their £35 mixed case, seems more interesting than their lager one.
    Barrel aged porter, lager, pales.

    Premiumoffer2 was the discount code.
Might have been sent the code because I ordered the lager one for my BiL birthday.

  • Local bottle shop have just got them in. Picking them up tomorrow.

  • Whoever mentioned the BrewDog/ Evil Twin Imperial, thanks, it's bloody lovely.
Thought it was a bit boozy at first but as the glass gets emptier, it gets better and better.

  • 10% off a first brewdog.com order with the code UNTAPPD10

  • It was a 4 pack of Hazy Jane cans for a fiver. Someone else agrees they are great as they cleared the bloody shelf of them

  • Yeah, I've been ordering direct, throwing a box and a couple of OGs in with the funkier stuff.
Have you tried their other ones? Stratospheric and Wishing Well?
Also rate the Jefferson pale that I bought a sixer of when they appeared in Kat's link brewery search thing. They're London based.

  • So main meal, pudding and a cognac for dinner tonight.

  • Raynville Superstore is your friend.

They do delivery if you aren't blessed with living in God's Own Country.

  • I finished the Signature Brew case (and gave away a few undrinkables), ordered local again with Truman’s, will report back.

  • Would be keen to hear how these are

  • Just ordered one of the 2018 Saison de Fete that Burning Sky have put on their website along with this year's Saison Provision.

  • I never knew Leeds was in Derbyshire ;)

Thanks for the tip, if I can't get it local and the urge persists I'll get onto them!

  • Starting with this tonight. Lovely. Very tasty indeed.

  • Well, the Sunday Roast is a lovely Brown Ale. There is a hint of bread in it but no roast chicken/lamb/beef.

Weirdly it states it has 'Seaweed' in it. I guess it means Irish Moss but why? If you are vegetarian / vegan then you'd want to know if the finings are animal based? If you aren't then you wouldn't care. Are people allergic to seaweed?

  • Some seaweeds are reknowned sources of umami.
The brewer might have been hoping to recreate 'meaty' overtones
with an umami source that allows vegetarians and vegans to enjoy the brew.

  • Possibly but I still think it's to drop the haze out of a beer. Irish Moss is VG/V friendly. Isinglass, blood, milk or egg whites less so.

It was a specific label rather than part of the ingredients list.

  • Flavourly delivery
    L-R
Porter, blueberry sour, blonde ale, helles lager, pilsner, juicy pale, milk stout, session ale, mango pale, lager. (2 of each)
Plus some tiny biscuits and a magazine

  • Not particularly fruity, it’s no Beavertown bloody ell but lovely flavour and tastes stronger than it says on the label. A hit.

  • No idea, yeah that's quite unusual to list it if Irish moss.

  • Any recommendations for IPAs in the 10% strength area?

Been drinking the Triples from Brew by Numbers, Cloudwater, and Moor (only 9%) but keen to try some others from beyond a two minute walk from my flat in Bermondsey.

  • Off the top of my drunk head
Evil Twin Molotov Cocktail, had this in Denmark, it was amazing at the time
whatever brewdog's triple IPA is called. Came in their xmas box, I remember liking it.
some of the houblon tripels are nice, i think Troubador magma is their IPA, dunno how strong it is though but it's Belgian so probably up there.
Weird Beard do Holy Hopping Hell and Defacer which higher abv hopping things

  • Brewdog have one at 16% !?

    Brewdog though, hmm.
