I give you the king of Belgian beer, Westvleteren;
If you ever find some buy it and drink it. Superb stuff.
Sadly I can no longer drink it. :-(
This is my favourite beer these days;
It's quite good.
This thread makes me sad though.

Looking forward to my first bottle of Westvleteren, although I won't be buying it from anyone but the monks themselves. I'd feel dirty getting it from the black market.

It may seem heresy to puritans, but Guinness mixed with sweet condensed milk (and sometimes eggs) is what Caribbean and African people know very well.
Sweet-tooth? Definitely.
Like an alcoholic milkshake, but Guinnessy.
Sound like it's worth a try.
If you put egg in I presume you mean raw?

Yes mate, raw egg. I don't fancy is as much as others do though. I leave the egg out.

Super idea. Trawl through London, seeking out real ale, obscure beers, meaty stouts (sorry Object), and even the odd off-the-beaten-track cider (eh JimBilly?).
I'm in.

Don't forget the Pembury Tavern, who often stage mini-beer festivals, or the Pig's Ear when it's on at the Ocean.

Well up for that. Is now the time to surrender the fact I was once VP of the Ale Society at my uni?

Wetherspoons (spit, spit) has had Greene King IPA for 99p a pint for a while. Was supposed to have it like that until March but when I went into the one in Canary Wharf yesterday they'd changed it to Courage Best, still for 99p. Not amazing by any stretch, but 99p!!!!! It's cheaper than the lemonade damnit!

tried some new beers recently. morte subite gueuze , de trock gueuze and bruges tawerbier
the lambic gueuze beers are slightly sweet/sour but very refreshing, they are brewed without added brewers yeast but left to naturally ferment. -

DOOMBAR!
6X
VB- housemates infulence
Thatcher'sDoom has to be my favourite drink of all time, i cant buy it anywhere here in kent so i get 4 boxes delivered from the brewary every month. its nice but its not the same as drinking from a glass overlooking the sea, pretending your not cold. doom was my bike ride fuel, and too many times i got stuck in the middle of fucking nowhere because i ended up getting pissed.
also worth mention is the other cornish ale: skinners. alough i only like certain recipes from thier range, becuase some of them are rank.
GA2G : No. oh god no.
however, Guiness and champagne, Black velvet, is very nice.
