  • Spent most of yesterday with a massive hangover caused by Wadworth's Swordfish. It was like being a teenager again. Round my way, all the pubs were Courage, Wadworth or Arkells.

  • not surpirsed, swordfish has rum in it..

  • Marble's earl grey IPA is back on in sandbar, well expensive but fucking lovely and nice and strong.

  • In other news, hangover.

  • ^^ & ^ cause & effect innit? Gonna have to try the earl grey IPA sometime.

Bramble Stout at The Riverhead, dangerously pop like.

  • Burning Sky Saison a la Provision
    Anchor Saison
    Thornbridge Charlie Brown
    Evil Twin Yang
    Evil Twin Yin
    ^ & ^^ mixed.

The Yang wasn't what I'd thought/hoped but the Yin rescued the experience.

  • Power of the Voodoo, that 10% Triple IPA everyone had a whine about.

I see what they meant by sessionable. Even at 10% it doesn't taste like a crazy abv beer. Very nice imperial/triple IPA.

Wish I had more than one can to be honest.

  • Having a Long Forgotten Journey with next door's might. It's like Grand Marnier but with a sweet honey finish.

  • It's hot, so I bought a 20 pack of French stubbies from Tesco. Lovely. Honestly. Super dry, and far better than most other shite lager in the UK.

  • Tulse Hill this Saturday

  • Sourbeest from Wild Beer. Tart cherry and chocolate. Bit much at first but you get used to it after a few mouthfuls.

  • Bottledog was having a Wild Beer tasting night tonight. #csb

  • Marks and sparks beloved of the English blue rinse classes have got a big selection of brews on.
    There's a saison that's delicious
Check em out you'd be helping the brewers of old Blighty.
Put that Sierra nevada down shep

  • @Bad_Science not many session beers worth getting hangover for.
    Swordfish is one

  • Yeah, I was impressed they actually had some non M&S stuff in their. Waitrose or M&S I can't rmemeber which, have a map where they show which British brewery is doing which particular beer for them. Waitrose I think it was.

  • No that map is pick up in marks.
    You were Pissed

  • Looking forward to a few brews Ooop north next week with @rhb.

  • I believe I was pissed. I didn't actually take the map - it was found somewhere and shown to me because someone got the idea I liked beer. Could've been work, maybe that Blur gig or a MTB at a pub. I can't recall. It will come to me around 2pm tomorrow for no reason..

  • I'll tweet you a pic. It's that important. No it is.
    No really.
    It is.

  • Tried the Norfolk Bitter earlier. It's actually brewed by Woodfordes. Very nice flavour and quite light feeling. I do think bitter should be served flat from a cask though.

One of the M&S beers is by Windsor and Eton who are a brilliant brewery, so worth a try.

  • Yeah. Modus Hop time.

  • Hearing enough good talk on this, it lives up to the hype.
