No, a few brewers actually offered reasons why cans were better.

Summer Wine Brewery, Sabretooth IPA. Tasty. Not overly hoppy, fair bit of malt invests, nice kick of booziness at 6.9%. Would drink again...

Buxton Brewery, Black Rocks.
Another of my attempts to get on with Black IPAs. I think the trick is to expect a hoppy stout rather than a dark pale ale. This one is crisp, lots of hops and liquorice. Yum. -

Strong work, Hippy.
The Revisionist stuff was 4 for a fiver in Tesco so I tried a few out - some of them are remarkably good.
California Common Steam Beer - 6/10, a bit meh
Craft Lager - 7/10, a very decent lager
Rye Pale Ale - 8/10, love the flavour, could be a little bit punchier but v. nice
Belgian "Saison" Beer - 8.5/10, surprise of the bunch for me, really good. Reminded me of Vedett but better flavour.I also tried that 13 Guns again and actually I don't think it's all that. Seems short on hops.

Yeah but the best was Orsted Olbar: https://untappd.com/venue/4221
Best selection, most room, best music, coolest bar staff. They have a sister bar somewhere but I didn't get to it. Mikkeller was rammed and although the beer was great it wasn't as nice to be in.

Only had the cask dark ipa revisionist and you can tell how much I liked it from earlier posts.
There are apparently 6 types of revisionist though.
But im fucked if im going to tesco for them.

The Smoked Brown by Anspach & Hobday
The Porter by Anspach & HobdayAnspach are two young blokes who've just recently started up in Bermondsey on 200L kit. Very nice IPA and Porter and I'm looking forward to their special edition Porter later this year.
Weird Beard's best was probably Little Things That Kill a very sessionable beer, smells lovely, hoppy but without the bitterness that sucks your cheeks in like the bigger US style stuff.
BBN are rocking the saisons. Try them, they all rock. My fave from the two last night was the NZ-hopped one, Wai-iti or something (Czech-origin Saiz hops grown by kiwis).
Never heard of Rocky Head. The bloke is a wine guy but can brew totally cool beers. Based in Wandsworth somewhere. His two best were the Zen pale and Imitera (means 'Mother') which has four different hops and is big.
Left with a bag load of these as well as some other little bits and pieces. London brewing is going mental. Bermondsey on Saturdays must be mental.

Your taste buds are broken.
I think they're pretty standard now, just better as a whole that they used to be. I take it you only drink ale that's kept in glass kegs and casks too?
