buy some... it's absolutely lush... where is your offie?
Have done. I'm not that into lagers though outside of the 4 days of summer, so I tend to skip the fridge. Ealing.

heh, what happened to
Someone made it easy.
I have a Brit passport now too so I won't be shown into the small room for an 'inspection' this time..
And they should know me from previous visits so 'personal use' for 20 cases will be fine.

mail me your details then
just checked, with middle row seats in place it's £90 return (2.3cu m). without, the load area exceeds 3cu m (3.5) so £227+VAT - therefore seats stay but can be stacked over
so, anyone else want an early sat. morning west london pick-up for either ostend/ghent?

I didn't think you were serious to be honest, plus I'd already said I wasn't going. But if you're keen what about the 16th? I think it's clear for me.

• #2085
you can stop at a certain monestry for some best 'beer in the world' on the way to ghent.
http://www.sintsixtus.be/you wont be able to buy cases but there's a cafe where you can get the odd bottle

Went to Marble on Saturday (the original) on a rare trip north. Dobber and Lagonda every bit as good as I remember. The food in there is ridiculously good. If there's one problem with it, it's this - the next pub you go to afterwards is inevitably a disappointment.
Unless you go to The Angel.

Off to this now!

Unless you go to The Angel.
Where's that? Marble is the pub of kings but I'm prepared to be proven wrong when I'm up north next weekend.

Out of the Marble and head back down Rochdale Rd to town. About 200 yards down on the same side, junction of Angel St. Not quite as good as The Marble, but tends to be less busy and a great selection of ales, plus a nice fire going when it's cold.

Thanks - I usually end up in Fringe after the Marble and it seems to have gone downhill a bit.
-
• #2092
Yup, angle is nice and pretty damn cheap too.
-
• #2093
Well I managed to do all of the Brodies! I even managed to get to work this morning too...
The Romanov Empress Stout was amazing!

I think i'm going to go for a "beervent" calendar. I spoke to the guys in my local off licence (Chorlton off licence- Reprazent) and they reckon they should be getting some more seasonal beers in the next few weeks.

23rd next available slot for meThat's no good for me unfortunately.
To be fair, my mate and I have been talking about doing exactly this for the last 6 years and still haven't managed it. :)
It's easier to just Eurostar over and drink it there. #hiccup -

That St Peters Christmas ale is pretty nice and a cheeky 7% as well
-
• #2097
Tried 2 new to me stouts, Black Pearl by Wooden Hand, and Dark Side by Bath Ales. The Dark Side is great.
-
• #2098
Had quite a few marble chocolate stouts last night.

• #2099
