Found the 2012 vintage Fullers special edition in Sainsbury's.
Bought 2 bottles, 1 to lay and keep the 2007 company and 1 to drink.
Suprisingly quaffable for an 8.5% beerIve been saving the 2007 for a special occasion. My 1st wedding anniversary was the intention, but that's sailed.
It's got to the point where I am loathe to drink it, having kept it for 5 years.
(I had a case, the other 11 were lovely) -

Today I went to the Kernel brewery and had a couple of tasty IPAs then I went to the Partizan brewery and had another hoppy zesty IPA. It was a good day! At the Kernel brewery you can buy 12 bottles for £29 not too bad.
...and they're friendly people both at the Kernel and Partizan
Working in Bermondsey has some advantages -

(I had a case, the other 11 were lovely)how long do you lay them for
a day or two until the thirst ravages your palate and you feel the need to break one out ?
or properly laying them down in your cellar for years ? -

^^^^^ I hope that was a really big pork pie.

i know i would
it would last all of a couple of weeks
is the heirloom being passed down from father to son ? should i expect to see you on the antiques roadshow in the near future with your brace of fine ales ? are they appreciating in value ?

They had Jaipur in the pub last night, which is always good, along with Marble's Dobber, which was also good. There was a chocolate vanilla stout which was lovely too, went down very easily.

Just a note to recommend Curious Brew made with English champagne yeast. It's a lager but don't let that put you off.
Also loving Mad Goose at the moment and another amber bitter with citrus things happening called Tom Long from Stroud Breweries.

Sandbar. I'll be there tomorrow for a whisky tasting thing. It's my mum's birthday so she gets to buy me booze.
