  • Just made a Track order...

    Language Barrier | Imperial Coconut Stout | 12.5% × 1
    Welcome To The Neighbourhood | West Coast TIPA | 10.5% × 1
Imperial Sundae Stout Birthday Box × 1

  • Previously ordered a box from Frisky Bear. I only wanted their Apple Pie beer but bought a couple of everything.. because you only liver once.

  • BD Advent cal went before Dec and shit a brick, I haven't opened today's beer52 one!

ooh a Super Santa Choco Shake Stout. That's better than the Steiglbock from yesterday

  • No idea. I've got pissed 4 times in the last 7 days so trying to keep the beer fridge closed until at least the weekend, maybe longer if my willpower will hold out

  • I'm not a big fan of porters unless they're basically imperial stouts. This just came out of the fridge to warm up a bit... "14% Imperial Porter matured on cacao nibs and chilli. Subtly warming heat from the chilli is balanced with the soft chocolate notes from the cacao. Barrel Aged Imperial Porter."

    3 days worth of DTM...

  • Might as well drink a pint of wine

  • £10 for one 330ml bottle.

    Fuckinell

  • Wine still tastes like wine though.

    It was lovely.

  • Yeah, it's a bit of a session beer..

  • Yay. Found a 440ml can of Magic Rock’s Dark Arts in the back of the fridge.

Boo. The wife asked if we could share it.

  • The above-mentioned Dark Arts is a fantastic classic stout, 6% so it’s not too mad, but it’s very dark and not at all sweet. A personal favourite of mine. Also, Five Point’s Railway Porter is a cracker, always on cask at The Pembury Tavern in E8 if you’re in the area.

  • I always have Railway Porter when I see it on, it's great. Haven't had one this year yet.

Will have a look at Dark Arts 👍

  • Yes to both these. Dark Arts is a Tesco one too iirc.

  • Finally opened the LBS box. This will be a good month.

  • At 14%?? Think I may have a different definition of session beer to you.

  • I was joking (last night at least).

Also, I would've paid more than £10 for it because I bought it from my local. But I love my local and want it to continue running so I don't mind paying a small "hippy, you fucking alco, you'll love these we just got in" tax.

  • I like my sour beer but even on the first sip of this one, it was instant 'pucker up' time.

Excellent beer, however. And love the design.

Obvious small beer for Hippy at a mere 10.5%.

  • Yeah they make some really nice sours - they were the Clapton craft brewery of the week last month and I tried some

  • Having a go at this tonight. BBP and Northern Monk colab out of my “advent calendar”

  • Stout Sunday. Teddy Pendergrass on the speakers. Smoooooth. Both of these are excellent. As was the LHG pistachio and honeycomb stout earlier

  • Anyone had the Nerdbrewing Imperial Stouts? I'm tempted by Pistachio Milk Stout but at £10 a bottle it feels a bit risky e.g if it has the Layer Cake yukky sweetness.
