Ale is more varied than cider though

*No, you're *more varied than cider.
I can't be getting on with cider to be honest. I find it either far too sweet (most popular brands) or too acidic (most scrumpys).

Tomorrow I'll be buying some new ales to try. Mostly strong, as that is my preference, they will be:
McEwan's No.1 Champion
Brakspear Triple
Innis & Gunn Oak Aged
Innis & Gunn Rum Cask Oak Aged
Fuller's Golden Pride
Punk IPA
Robinson's Old TomAnd one to sample for comparison with other Ginger Beers:
Church's Ginger BeerI'll be reporting back on my scientific studies.

Church's is dirt cheap in Aldi. Better vfm than full price Crabbies...

I am currently fermenting the kit version of this as I dont have space at the moment to do a proper brew. I will be dry hopping on Monday with Target for a fuller flavour. I have heard good things about their kits so will let you all know how I get on.
2 weeks of fermentation/conditioning and a couple in the bottle and we'll see how it tastes. It was so easy and if it turns out well I will def be doing it again.

At Dunwich, they had beer from the Hackney Brewery--never heard of it before, Arch 358 in Laburnum Street.
I didn't sample it, but various other forumites did.

Could be why he has not posted again, GA2G gets drunk and goes on a 2 day drinking / guerilla list making binge in and around London.

I don't drink to get drunk.......not ever. I've been busy with stuff for the Olympics, so am sipping my drinks. It may take me a week to get through them. Shall report back later.

I've done that very kit. Beer came out ok when you tasted it straight away. Decent 2 weeks later. 4 weeks later it was good. 3 months on and it was fucking great. Got 2 bottle left, both 6 months since bottling, saving them for a sunny day
Ale is shit.
