    Bloody phone posting. :)

More Gothic script illegibility than mobile posting

  • St Peter's never really disappoint.

    Apart from the disappointing one.

  • spotted this in the Jolly Butcher and really want to try it

  • Fruityish if I remember correctly.

  • Which I rarely do.

  • JC Garcia:

    good luck :)

I saw that in Project Orange last night. I went with Brooklyn Summer Ale instead.

  • Just tried a bottle of the 2.8% fullers stuff they have brought out because it was £1 a bottle in tescos - OK I guess, not really watery which was what I was expecting, but a distinct gloopiness to it. A bit like Skinners Spingo at first, but with a rather unpleasant sticky bitterness afterwards.

  • re: Anchor, the Steamed Porter is delicious.

Saw this in Booths, so have grabbed one, along with the St Peter's Porter.

    Look forward to trying both.

  • Theakston Old Peculiar, I had some yesterday, and some more again tonight. It certainly grows on you. Its an odd mixture of tastes and textures, but when its cold, and the night is humid, it really is very very good.

  • Just don't ever get drunk on it.

  • ^ This, it has its own unique and very painful 'after burn', in my experience anyway.

  • OP used to drink that back at college, similar to a stout, dark smooth head toasted flavour
    really nice pint
their bitter and mild are also very nice

  • For those of you interested in such things, the 23rd Ealing Beer Festival is next week (4th -7th July)

Over 200 Real Ales, plenty of Ciders and Perries, large selection of foreign beers and English Wines

Also there is on-site bicycle parking.

    Anyone fancy it?

  • you must be kidding, beer ... no thanks

  • Hmm.. yes.

  • Billericy Beer Festival this weekend if anyone fancies it?

  • please stop saying "craft beer" and "american craft beer". thanks.

  • The terminology to my ears is rather inoffensive, I checked this page and the last, and there is no such mention. Have I missed something?

  • The only post in the thread even saying the phrase "craft beer" is this one from April.

The Food show (or whatever it's called) on Radio 4 is currently going over the history of modern American craft brewing scene. Garrett Oliver and the other usual suspects talking.

  • they should be refered to as artisanal beers

  • This forum is an absolute riot. :-)

  • it wasn't aimed at anyone on this thread, or forum or anyone in particular.

  • Still a riot. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
