  • My truck in Spa, Belgium.
Could easily have got 50+ bikes in there, don't own it anymore though but do still have a licence.

Cool truck! Most old fags like me who passed driving test before 1st Jan 1997 should be able to drive one of those on their license. Not volunteering - will be too sleepy - but just for info.

As long as you have a licence, that's cool. Not that I doubt your driving skills but it would be terrible if some numpty bumped into a van full of forum bikes and the police decided to impound it because the driver wasn't licenced.

  • I love the DD and I'm determined to do it every time that I can. I'll still keep looking for other rides, like the EE or the Dorset Dash that I've only just heard about.

hey oliver, are you doing the Andover Fist 800 this weekend? it's a very early start Saturday morning but i am looking forward to it.

  • 2 years in a row I've missed this. Nevermind. Great stuff everybody else who made it.

As for Charlotte (don't think we've met), brilliant effort on the Penny Farthing. Amazing.

I'm afraid I don't know what this is, jonny--I can't seem to find Google results on it, strangely enough? In any event, I suspect an 800 is still slightly beyond me. And as I'm busy this week-end, I can't enter it hand over fist, either (arf).

Nice little video. Brief spot of Wobbly John near the beginning, too!

  • :)

I was expecting to see you when I was going back--if you got to Dunwich at 8:10 and took the 'official' route right to the end, I would have seen you somewhere on the road to Peasenhall,

From Peasenhall, I went to Yoxford to get some breakfast at the newsagents, and then the back way into Westleton.

What do you have in mind for next year--a wobbly ordinary, perhaps? ;P

I could ride my Penny Fakething http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOXAB19lqxQ

  • OMG that looks so amazing
next year count me in !

  • and great job, gals and guys

I do have the licence necessary for this however:
Should the numpty crash thing happen I would not really be pleased to be explaining shit to all the forumengers whose bikes were strewn across the A12.
The too sleepy thing has also made me think again as driving after the DD is probably not the best idea if I don't want to crash.
Will just have to think of some other way to help out another time I think.

  • ...so we've decided we're gonna do it all over again this weekend.
Well done on completing this. I admire your commitment. x

  • They did it? Wow...

  • Dropout and moth spotted in this video from about 1:08:

  • shudder

  • you look like you really wanted to feed the seagulls, too.

  • for 120 miles i carried seeds and stale bread and i was greeted by that sign. you can understand my grumpyness.

  • The Forum van etc sounds a wonderful idea.

However, given last nights weather, I would suggest that all monies are paid in advance

The DD is a like Glastonbury, its success is relative to the level of precipitation.

  • the DD in fucking style;

  • -1 for being in a disabled space
-1 for having what looks like a bike kill on the front.
-1 for having ra***a written all over it

  • mate, that how the team car look in the past (and that was during the Smithfield Nocturne, so it's moot really).
