I would stick to just a halo on the front, I was talking to a few people who skidded through them in no time at all, but they said that they stick like glue on the front.

Ah nuts. I still want the colour match though so I'll grab a pair and see how things go, if it really sucks then it's replacement can be something more reliable. Any suggestions? Preferably in purple but considering that's very unlikely then plain black (I couldn't bear to uglify it with armadillos)

I had a black shwalbe blizzard i think, they're not bad, i've a Vittoria Ribimo for a while now on the rear and it's pretty good too....

I've heard good things about the rubinos, I went to the vittoria website and there's loads of them, which one is it?

My mistake, it's a Panaracer Protex Ribmo, it says Ride Bicycle More on it, 700x25. The lads in Think Bike sell them, nice tyre

Go for the Schwalbe marathon plus, no chance your going to skid through it.
All black bar a nice small reflective strip on the side wall.
