• Besides... there are a few chips on it and I'll be getting the decals remade exactly the same but in a different colour ;)

You better!

• I am I shwares!!

Have you seen the saddle it's getting?

• Nah, do show, I need a saddle myself, bent the rails right out of the saddle base.

• OOOH....Nice.

• I know right!! And super rare, Max in TFG is hunting one down for me ;)

• ok so i need a frame and forks striped and powder coated anyone heard anymore about it?

• Tallaght powder coating do a great job (I've heard from both my LBS and a downhill cyclist whose friends got some work done there). As far as I know it's €120 for one colour and €150 for two

• Two colour sounds good - especially if they can mask off chrome.

To go slightly off topic, I've become fascinated with Fast Boy Cycles' paint job on his first bike:

Does anyone know how this was accomplished? (He's not saying).

• it looks as tho the frame was painted black then very lightly sanded this caused the edges to shine up like that giving it that worn effect. then a layer of clear coat for protection.

• Looks like an ink or a stain to me, almost like runny annodising.
If you found something similar to gun blueing dye or ink but more permanent that would get an effect like that.

• It's done the same way you do gun barrels...

• Ah the country man steps in..
I didnt think that that process was very permanent...But then again I have never re-done it to any of mine and they are holding up fine, granted they dont get much time in the rain.

• I like it. Although, there is a tinge of Games Workshop modelling about it, I've just noticed.

(Anyone? Anyone? I'll get my coat).

• Yeah I do know what you mean.

But this is life sized and real, therefore removing any ties:D

• Not really much help but zed1powdercoating in Armagh do a frame and fork for £50.

• wow, great price

• Its still cheaper to get the bus up and get it done than here.

• I've a Bob Jackson I was gonna get done as I've went off the colours I choose. I've had a good look at they're website and they seem to look like the real deal. I'm in Belfast so I'm pretty handy.

• I'm getting my stuff powder coated and in an effort to promote dublinfgss I have it posted there

• Ok the deal is that we had a customer in the shop today that is looking to have her bike painted/powdercoated black, so is anyone else looking to have the same done and you could do them both together for cheap;)

EDIT: need replys by this time tomorrow to tell her yay or nay.

• I don't need said powdercoating... But if she a sexy I'll take her number anyways

• Nope, Mark is first in line and im second, she is by the way.
