Riding with BMX pedals?

.... What i'm not so keen on is that I can't comfortably ride the bottom of the pedals when mucking about at low speed, plus any jumping isn't nice in soft soled Vans shoes......

Don't know if you are aware of DUAL sided pedals, spd one side and flat on the other, they are usually pretty cheap too.

i just bout these pedals, is it possible to attach cages on them or am i better off just making some powergrips?

yeah it is possible if you attach the clips to the inside of the pedal with large washers on each end of the bolt. I think prolly has a similar set up. You just need longer cages obviously

because you dont have the small holes seen above you'll need big washers.

I'm testing out leather for the straps, seem alright so far
i reckon seatbelts would be okay although they are made to stretch under large stress, not sure how much you assert by braking though

not as much as an entire body in a crash

sure, but its best not to have your straps looosing out on yo ass

so pre-stretch them, should help a bit

I've got those exact same pedals on the way, but I'll be running powergrips. Dunno who it was I met last trixie had taht setup which seemed to worked for him. He just flipped the front bracket bit around.

Edit: fuck i'm stoned i've been trying to put the pedals on the wrong side...... "FUCK...!! I just spent the last hour installing a set of straps on brand new odysseys, they look great....? But they won't fit cos the pedals are 1/2" and not 9/16"... fuck fuck fuck....!! Wonder if evans'll exchange them?"

Just made some new straps for some new pedals. These will be on my lo pro when it's finished, but I'm just testing them on the raleigh for the moment.
Car seatbelts + Gusset BMX pedals.
These are the version with the "grind plate" on the bottom. Meaning they always self-right.
Not sure if I'll keep it on (it unbolts and you can wack normal pins in) but it's on there for the moment. Makes getting in the straps easier!
