Legend, thanks!
Covers off my curiosity, think Force 1x12 electric will be too spendy but good to see those E13 cassettes coming.

Would anticipate Force eTap 22 if anything next year, Force always seems to be rebadged Red from the previous gen.

Is anyone a campag expert?
I have a chorus groupset which i bought 2nd hand, i belive though that it comprises of post-2015 shifters with pre-2015 front and rear mechs.
Should that pose an issue relating to its function?

according to the docs they all need to be pre-2015 or all post-2015. i guess they have different cable pull lengths. i think the post-2015 things have an "A" in a square on them.
i've never tried to mix them. maybe there's a hack?
btw, someone is selling a very reasonably priced chorus groupset in the classified at the moment...

Campag never really works properly anyway, so I wouldn't worry.
N.B. I love Campag.

Yeah i had read the same thing, although everyone i can find seems to be trying to run new mechs on old shifters.
I am tempted to buy the matching mechs to my shifters and sell my previous ones

Only in eTap / 1x flavours, double tap is whack

I've always used and like SRAM. I'm currently shopping for a new roadie and pretty much every OTP bike her in aus is Shimano based. Apart from mega spendy Red eTap equipped bikes.
All I want is force 22 hrd disc group on my bike.
Accept Shimano ultegra ( I'm sure it's fine...) or stump up the cash and do a frame + groupset build? I have no real reason for my love of SRAM, just always liked the hoods and the double tap.

I like SRAM, but if I want a whole bike and it's Shimano I just get that. Building a frame always comes too expensive

My winter bike is running Ultegra mechanical and I want to go electric. It’s a disc frame and I’m happy with the current brakes and chainset (Rotor P2Max), so just need a gear set (FD, RD, shifters and electric bits). I’d prefer eTap, but the hydro version looks prohibitively expensive for winter duties, so shimano it will likely be.
Can someone tell me what I’d need and the cheapest way to go? Should I go for the whole group from somewhere like Merlin for £1350? Or just source the individual bits?
Sorry for the vague questions, but don’t know shimano electric very well.

Shifters, deraillers, cable set, Junc A, Junc B, battery. That's about it, isn't it?
Not much point buying the whole group if you already have brakes, cranks, cassette, etc.

I think so, just not sure what the specific components are (ie product numbers etc).

Anyone got any idea how compatible across derailleurs jockey wheels are?
The seals completely disintegrated on the top one on my Rival 1 derailleur yesterday & I lost a few bearings on the way home. In the meantime, I've stuck in one from a bent 105 derailleur I had lying around (knew I kept it for something!). Haven't ridden it yet, but it seemed to shift fine on the work stand.
Thing is, they're narrow wide jockey wheels since it's 1x. Though I'm not sure how much influence that really has? I'd rather not spend £34 on new ones since it's basically only twice that price for an entirely new derailleur if I can help it.

They're 'somewhat' compatible. Different years of Shimano RDs have different size wheels and you need to make sure you get the top and bottom wheels right and the rotation direction right.
£34 for jockeys seems ridic (and I bought CeramicSpeed for the TT bike). I think I paid less than a tenner for Shimano jockey wheels. No idea about NW though. Don't use that shit. -

I rode to work with the current setup this morning & it kind of worked. Not sure if it's the indexing which is off or it's the fault of the different jockey wheel. I'll keep at it & see.
Yeah, it's ridiculously expensive. Think I'll keep my eye out for knackered derailleurs on eBay (surely with it being a CX-aimed derailleur these should come up all the time?) to see if I can nab some spares for cheaper.

i've got a new bicycle and am going to DA9100. It's a giant so has a pressfit BB86 system... what would be a reliable (not stupid expensive) bottom bracket to install?

Will the Shimano one work?

I just replaced a 3 yo DA BB86 with an Ultegra BB86 purely because I couldn't believe the DA could still be OK but it really was fine. Was on a Bowman.

As the groupset is now in use in pro races, UCI rules stipulate that it must be made available to consumers within 12 months

Leccy only but think with more options. May the Force be with you! E13 will have 11sp XD cassette options too - 9-34T / 9-39T / 9-42T. Dedicated adv/gravel gruppo from Shimano too 2x/1x options with some interesting developments.
