Are you gonna send your frame back to Ryan to get all the braze on removed?
-
• #4803
Whats the trade price of etap?
-
• #4804
Etap installation is a piece of piss
-
• #4805
Not got official numbers but I wouldn't be surprised if it's £1400+ for the full groupset.
-
• #4806
£1400 is ludicrous.
-
• #4807
Retail is £2k and judging by the last time I saw the trade prices, back in 2013, there isn't a huge margin in it.
-
• #4808
Still ludicrous...

• #4809
I'll let you know for sure when I eventually get enough money together to buy it.
-
• #4810
Don't you find cables reassuring?
-
• #4811
Oh yeah, I wouldn't not have a cable geared bike.
-
• #4812
etap seems unfeasibly 'cheap' at 1180£ RRP

Brakeless!

Can install ETAP but evidently, not a straight saddle FFS

My front derailleur is fouling the mudguard by about 1.5mm. Which braze on adapters hold the mech furthest forward on the chainring?
As in, towards the front wheel.
-
• #4816
No cranks or brakes
-
• #4817
If you...allow the rear mech battery to run out, you can swap the front mech battery on to the rear, foregoing front shifting for the journey home.
Good move - I love Campagnolo but there's no way they would do that.
You upshift at the rear by pushing a paddle behind the right brake lever. You downshift at the rear by pushing a paddle behind the left brake lever. You move the front mech by pushing both paddles at the same time.
-
• #4818
Usually advise against that as it may actually affect shifting.
What about putting a spacer on the chainstay bridge to move mudguard away from it?
-
• #4819
Cut the bastard.
-
• #4820
Or file off the section that the derailleur is hitting.
-
• #4821
eTap is a bit fugly, and remember the 1st draft of anything is usually shit

This DA 7800 crankset would be a straight swap for my Tiagra 4600 right? As in, I could move the chainrings across from Tiagra to the DA? They're the same BCD but I dunno if there's some crank magic I dunno about. -

Yep

It won't space any further as the tire is already tight under the guard.
