Flexing the cranks to an extent that hinders performance? (you're racing, right?)
Which professional team are you riding for, and why don't you speak to your directeur sportif about it?

The one thing about moving to Sram from Campag that I missed how easy it was to jump 2 sprockets at a time.
Can still jump two sprockets on mine. Just push it further. No harder than doing it on my Shimano.

That was my thought.
There's plenty of stuff that can flex between your foot and the power getting to the tarmac.
Play in pedal bearings.
lose crank arms.
lose crankring bolts.
worn freehub.
spokes. To name a few. All of these would flex umpteen times more than a chainring, or crank arms.

I know, it's just the distance required to do it. I still do it, but it's not as easy as on campag. I'm not a fan of Shimano.

yeah - up 3, down 5 in one movement. If you're having problems it's for one or two of these reasons:
a) your cables need replacing
b) levers need servicing
c) you haven't got the derailleur cable set up rightThat was my thought.

I dunno, I def noticed more flex when I moved from the Spesh rings to TA on my S-Works cranks - probably felt it more keenly because I am heavy though

tried and tested all..new pedals tightened after wear in period, crank arms checked, BB checked for any play, all chain ring bolts checked (had this before on other groupset thought it was BB but then found a few loose CR bolts), new wheels and spokes checked/after wear in period.
No it doesn't effect performance too much but it's sure annoying when soon as get going hearing chain rub on Front D. Maybe it's just SRAM cranks they do have a slight rep for flexing as I don't get this on my Campag groupset.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to BringMeMyFix again.
Again? Tits - stupid forum

SRAM cranks inherited from Truvativ - i.e. POC

Well on that note how you finding the S-Works cranks? I see they're BB30 compatible so maybe I'll go down that route.

A-W-E-S-O-M-E
Combined with the HUGE bb30 area on my S-works frame they're staggeringly stiff - barely any movement at all (and the 0.01% there is - i'm sure is due to the aforementioned chain rings), even with a 14 stone lump sprinting climbs etc

Fair enough.
The CR bolts is a classic.

I'm not going to do this, but as a thought experiment let us assume that I have bought a cheap Di2 group.
Will it play nicely with Hollowgram SiSl cranks and Mk V rings?

Is that like when I tell my wife I'm happy to have just one bike, but it means I'll spend more money on clothes and bike parts for said bike.

Thanks for finding that, not that I'll be doing anything of course.

Putting Di2 on that Cannondale is properly polishing a turd

who are we talking about here? Dov or Neil?
on the groupset note, would I be correct in thinking that upgrading my external chainring from the SRAM standard 53 to a SRAM TT ring would eliminate some the crank flex until I can afford to upgrade to a Rotor/SRAM Red/DA..as at the moment soon as I put the hammer down I'm flexing the shite out of my cranks
