Cool that the batteries look interchangeable. Wonder if the hoods will have similar batteries.

The front mech looks uglier than Di2. Impressive achivement.
I Wonder what the weight is like With the added (albeit smaller) batteries. But no cables.
Mainly. I Wonder if you can pair a set of bar end shifters on some tri Extensions. So moving Your bike from road - to - tri. Would be a breeze.

Don't Stages make a 6800 crank arm?

At next rolla event there should be powermeter swap between bikes sponsored by Stages

I know that there is sarcasm afoot. I also know that some people don't want single sided power meters. But. If Team Sky use them, I'm sure they're good enough for Dammit.

They're fine. They have their limitations... but then, so do I.

If Team Sky use them
If being the operative word.

I don't care, just give it to me for this wad of cash.
Second generation though please.

I wonder how much the recall will cost them...

Looking at these electronic systems, why are the derailleurs staying essentially the same? I wonder if it'd be possible to achieve shifting speed with a solenoid actuator (pushrod?) inboard of the chain stay? Out of harms way, smaller and lighter? There must be someone working on an entirely different method of shifting?

U wot? Diagram please.

No? Or is this all a ploy?
-

Many teams have a powermeter sponsor, yet you still see most of the riders using SRMs for training. Given Sky's approach, it would surprise me enormously if they use Stages for all their testing and training.

wot andy said - see Garmin guys mounting the Vector pods to Dura Ace pedals for the look of it...
I guess Sky are still using Stages for in-race data though.

Well, I don't see what other source they would be getting it from.

"The top offerings from the Three main groupset manufactures, tend to come out on the top shelf."
The FC-6800 performed almost the same compared to the FC-9000 so it's pretty good value I'll give you that.

Maybe repost but I don't care. It's better than a recall.

Just a little more info for the wireless:

The Cycling News article says button on left shifter moves rear mech inboard, right button moves it outboard. Then both simultaneously to move the front mech.
I like the sound of that.
Five chainring bolts? How quaint.
