Although I suspect some regular posters in this thread may now question their very existence: as purported groupset experts who seem to have completely missed the fact that all modern groups are basically fine, and you might as well buy whatever's a good deal and go and ride your bike, a revelation to nobody but them...

I wouldn't let the deal take precedence over the small differences in sensation (rather than objective quality) which exist between the three different kinds. If it's down to Force22 vs. 6800 vs. Athena, it has to be worth £100 to have the lever you want in your hand even if the equally capable competition is cheaper.
