I'd say exactly the same about Shimano.

what, thin people like Hippy?

cant deny the value for money bit though
-
• #1080
I can.
When I ran Shimano I replaced the rear mech on average every 12 months due to them failing. Unlike Campag, you can't repair them, so that hardly equates to value for money now does it?

a note on Athena after several months use: ergos are great, and shifting very smooth but the cranks are noticably flexy so I get chain/cage noise when standing or generally pushing hard, and that is even with the adjusting

you need to lose some weight or learn to pedal *tranquillo *

seriously though - I still get mech rub when sprinting with bb30 carbon S-Works cranks (which is about as stiff as stiff gets). If you're heavy enough and produce some power its possible to get pretty much any crankset to move about.

I got mech rub once but found a cream for it.

Got older centaur (2009? pre-change to new ergo levers) Best thing ever. So much better than rival.

Took me a while to get that reference.

I don't get it

How do the microSHIFT groups compare?
-
• #1096
I don't get it
Apparently (at least that what I think), the oil mark from each chainring is how close the dog is to biting the rider's legs.
It (wrongly) indicated that the higher tier groupset make the rider go faster.
Apparently, IMHO and all that.

• #1097
Not just a chart showing the progression of groupsets to "top dog"?
-
• #1098
I hope not. I prefer scoble's obscure ednalysis.

Or "Veloce is the dog's bollocks"...

Microshift is lower quality, I would say Shimano Sora level so it wouldn't make it in the groupset hall of fame...
ah then i suppose i'll never buy it :P most uncomfortable hoods and shifting style (and value for money if I may add) ever
