Edinburgh Fixed arrive on Sat lunch time if anyone is up for a pre alleycat ride?
-
• #54
I'd be up for a ride, especially if there's someone from leeds free who's up for giving us a tour.
-
• #55
best to post on the facebook group for that. me and sam will be too busy pooing our pants at that point to ride
-
• #56
I might be about on saturday. If i am i will be up for a ride. but i may hassle you for tips. it'll be my first alleycat
-
• #57
no probs! I have only been to Leeds 3times on business its gonna be interesting!
-
• #58
Erm, yes. It's just occurred to me that as well as this being my first alleycat, I've only ridden in Leeds once (well, through it, on a tour). Will this, ahem, be a problem? Should I try and find a map? Will I be too drunk to care?
-
• #59
i wouldnt worry too much about that. we have taken into account that not many people from outside leeds know it very well, therefore the route we have chosen will be testing mostly pace and stamina. anyway, if you do do really badly you'll definately have the opportunity to get so drunk you don't remember at the banging after party!
-
• #60
Can't wait for this! Well played guys

Just wondered what the deal is with leaving bikes outside this 'Hukaz' place? Obviously need a lock, but is it advisable, or would I be best leaving the bike elsewhere? And have we any idea how many bikes might be going? Could there be fifty bikes outside?
Or am I just stressing over nothing... -
• #62
pace... glup! shit may have to change my gearing back...
I could be tempted to drop my bike back to the hotel as we are smack bang in the city centre...
its gonna be sooo sick!

Or am I just stressing over nothing...Yes, you will need a lock as all the bikes will have to be outside. the area is very safe so dont worry about bikes getting niked!
do we need bags?
If you're planning on winning some prizes then yes!

A couple of us Londoners (in fact, are there any other Londoners coming up?) will be in town on Saturday, and potentially up for any sort of pub-related activity. (EDIT: oh, and any bike-related activity, naturally!)
