Smashed Snowdon Marathon even if I do say so myself :D went into it knowing it would have to go perfectly for me to get a good for age time for London.
Finished in 3hr 14 min 41 seconds so chuffed to bits :) 73rd overall and new pb by 15 minutes, so a good day.
To make it even better my wife was 9th woman and first in her age group :)

Congrats Jones, cracking time.
I struggled round Beachy Head yesterday, a measly 2 minutes quicker than last year and come away with two dodgy knees. Was good fun as always though.

That was nicer, definitely seemed easier. A whole minute faster than the previous 6k run despite feeling roughly the same perceived effort (and slightly lower HRavg). Now looking forward to the rest of the week off (half term).
Penciling in first Parkrun (Wimbledon Common) on 22nd November (I'll be happy with a 28:00). Aiming to get my thrice weekly runs up to 10k by around New Year and then 14k by February. Then I'll work on speed/strength and shifting the rest of the weight.

Results up.
You were 98th @1:26:50. I was 157th @ 1:31:15.Can't believe I was only 4 mins slower than you over 10M. Not bad for 1500ft of climbing though.

if i'm free i might come and run this too. have stuck a reminder in my calendar.
it can get quite muddy there so don't wear your best shoes.

@Greenbank @HatBeard I might be up for a forum parkrun outing too. All south londoners should come. Fuck it, all londoners!

I'll probably still get run over, but hey- at least I'll look like an alien when it happens.

I have trail shoes (Saucony Peregrine 4) for when it's not dry. They love the gloopy stuff.
true, they still get to get lost in wild forests as 'work' though, lucky bastards
