yeah half of which never get run in ;)
when you coming on tuesday training?Bollocks! I'd love to, but I'm now working until 6pm for the foreseeable future and this child of mine seems to make evening exercise very limited.

can you hang on over the weekend and I'll try on some Nikes?
No worries. They're not going anywhere unless they go to someone on here. Try some on. If they fit give me £25 and they're yours. It'll just take the sting out of having to buy some more in the right size...

You definitely need 5 pairs.
Fast road
Distance road
Light off road
Aggressive off road
Winter off roadLight road and light off road can be the same. But my trails contain sharp rocks.
I keel considering minimalist off road shoes. Sounds tricky though.

I currently have 6 pairs FWIW.

Road 10k race / tri
Road 5k race

XcThe road race ones haven't been used much lately, hoping to change that this year.

Road 10k race / tri
Road 5k racewhat is the main difference between these?
-
• #7860
The 10km is the ds trainer, 5km I forget the name but the next lighter asics model of that time, ds racer?

These are the ones that the chap in the shop recommended: http://www.sweatshop.co.uk/asics-gel-gt2000-v2-men-s-running-shoes-aw13.html
Do you think there is a significant difference between the two?
-
• #7862
I'm guessing the most significant difference is the asics store currently stocks the gt 2000 2.
check the reviews for the 2 and see how it stacks up to the previous model, they'll usually use it as the base of their comparisons.
I'm looking forward to reading more about the flyknit lunar 2, I enjoy running in the flyknit lunar 1's more than any of the others I own. already have a second pair in a box for when these ones fall apart (figure best to buy in the sales).

Off to do some speed work today - everything I have done in the past few months has been at long slow run pace. It's about time I did something a bit snappier.
6 x 1.6km off 2min rest

I'll take em please, if you don't mind posting? think they should be fine, plus I feel shamed by my paltry shoe count looking at everyone else's on here.
I'll pm you

did not want to leave the flat for todays run, left it all the way until 7.30pm but in the end it had to be done so I cracked on.
running 50 miles per week is pretty taxing I'm starting to find. not so much that I can't do the runs but I'm feeling tired almost all of the time. hopefully will get used to it soon enough and then running high mileage wont feel so bad come marathon day.
but riding high in the mileage challenge is awesome so it's not all bad.
currently:
overall - 484/19761
uk - 137/5710
200lb+ - 9/2032:)

What's today's mathematics?

Well done HB! I had a week off because of the tattoo and I really enjoyed my long run yesterday. I was feeling like you before. Come marathon day you will be flying!

• #7871
thanks, was wondering what happened to you tika, last month we were pretty much neck and neck on the miles. but that explains it.

I used Strava today.

At lunchtime today, to finish up my session, I did 5x1min flat out efforts on grass to limber up for the National XC at the weekend. On the last one, with about 3 seconds to go (watch was beeping the countdown already) I slipped and sprained something. FUCKING NUMPTY. Literally the final few steps before taking it easy 'til the weekend.... FFS
yeah half of which never get run in ;)
