    simply because focusing on the reps, counting and banging out the climbs fast is good.

    Around 150 for a marathon pace isn't bad in that case!

    Only doing 4 today, 6 tomorrow but then 15, 7, 7 before next rest day so best get in the miles now.

  • Wokingham Half this weekend has been cancelled, the course is flooded (8 inches deep and still rising apparently - pah, could have swum those bits). I'm actually gutted, I was kind of looking forward to it. I'd hired a car, coerced my housemate into cheering, bought snacks, worked out what to wear, what pace to run, everything. I'd even spent some time working on my nerves. I was LITERALLY raring to go.

    Does anyone have a recommendation for a half I can do instead, ideally in Feb but super ideally not on the 16th?

    Well then I'm out. My medal haul at the moment consists of the consolation medal I got given at the Bushy Park 10k for being sick and a medal I won for winning the cereal box game at a friends party, so basically I'm not interested unless there are medals.

    Just done my last bit of triathlon training for 8 days, would have liked to do my last 4 miles tonight but I want to spend some time with my dog before she goes to stay with my in laws while I'm on holiday!
