I went for a run in May and halfway through I was able to drain about 250ml of liquid out of the elbow of each arm, the reason there are so many holes punched in them is that the material is virtually a complete barrier!

Are you wearing it at the moment or is it still too warm?
-
• #7154
If I'm honest I'm not wearing much more than a tshirt at the moment, I can't be arsed to carry water for an hours run so the less I sweat the better!

I've been running in a couple of long sleeve merino baselayers, with hat and gloves- hat being stuffed in a pocket once warmed up.
it's going to be -4 to -7 next week in Colorado though.

Yeah as the temperature is dropping again back here it might come out of the cupboard at the weekend, And I'll let you know, I was inspired to wear it on the bike this morning and it was a bit too cold to be honest compared to my usual jacket...

I'll just take my gillet and a fleece I expect.
I must look like I got dressed in the dark when I go running.

I find as long as my hands and ears are warm I'm happy, so at the moment it's usually a buff, thin gloves and a long running short with thumb loops which gets rolled up when I'm warmed up.

I'm currently in compression shorts + T-shirt, with my wind jacket chucked over.
But like Sainsburys. I need to know my head, hands, and feet will be OK.
I have a thin pair of merino cut off socks (under ankle height). Which I use with my Skora Base shoes. Not sure why I care that my ankles are exposed. But it feels nice. Probably looks idiotic combined with gloves and a thin hat.

I busted up my ribs a few days before NYE so about two weeks ago.
How long before I can start thinking about running again? -

when it's not painful anymore I'd guess. Have you strained an intercostal muscle?

it says 4-6 weeks. I have done it. It hurts. took more like 3 weeks with no treatment tho.

I have loads of bad rib experiances. It varies massively, depending on the injury, and which ribs are injured.
dst seems about spot on from what I remember.
Unless youre super tough. Its hard to imagine you could accidently start too early. Your ribs will let you know in no uncertain terms if this is the case.

Vigrious masterbation should give you an idea of where your injury is at.

How do you think I keep breaking ribs....?

Went to an NHS (re)arranged physio appointment.
Just a 4 & 1/2 hour wait this time so they are improving.
Physio said I had the 'worst' winged scapula they'd ever seen.
(I hadn't even noticed it had returned)
Refused to even look at my ribs as it wasn't the condition I had originally reported.
(don't fall off your bike inbetween appointments in future)
Gave me some exercises to do.. that I couldn't manage but my 15 minutes was up and that was that.Time to find a job with Health cover.
Gonna double drop on the painkillers and run tomorrow. -

I am really unfit at the moment but just had a glorious if shattering 20km run. Sunshine makes such a difference; everyone was in a really good mood (more genuinely smiley people/drivers giving way than creepy men, which is unusual).
Now to get less slow...

Fucking Strava. It told me I'd done a PB on 10.0k when I got home, so run up and down the street so it ended on 10.2 just to be on the safe side, press finish and it tells me I did 9.9k. Fuck sake.
Anyway, 9.9km in 47:13

Just done 9miles at 5.05min/km. Not been that quick over any distance since going over to minimalist shoes. Had a bath and feeling pretty good. Sunshine ftw
I find for running when the suns gone down in dec/jan so far the flash gilet is pretty good. mines a little loose which probably helps air get around, it's soaked after a run though. but my wool layer wicks everything straight into it i guess.
