What distance are you on at the moment?
Heh, not very far- I've run two 10k's, which puts me on 12.4 miles.

You are 0.4 miles ahead of me. You cannot afford to take tomorrow off.
I've done double the climbing you've done too. Cannot wait to get to my parents house, a whole 10 metres above sea level.

Well I'm ahead of both of you and I've still got a sore foot, so ner :P

Unfortunate chain of events hats. Keep it up though proven benefits of running might seem miles away now but they will come to you

not sure how great they are for running but the yaktrax pro snow shoe cover thingys are £6 is size L on amazon at the moment...

6 fast miles round my home town of Wantage today. Think living in London has warped my sense of scale somewhat as I had to do a whole lap of it and the adjoining town plus some extra bits to make up the distance whereas, in London I'd barely leave the local area :/
First ever blister from fivefingers on side of little toe, putting it down to running through every puddle, muddy bit and overflowing brook en route as opposed to poor fit... -

Decided not to run due to non descript foot pain, will definitely go out tomorrow, did a turbo interval session instead, and probably walked 3 miles, but I couldn't be bothered to log it, I'll see how I get on over the next few days towards the strava thing before doing anything that desperate!

Went for a run around Richmond Park this afternoon. Decided to wear my Free 3.0s for the first time in ages as they were already muddy. What could possibly go wrong?! Amazingly, not a lot, but predictably my calvds are now a gibbering wreck

Planned an 8mi route. 4mi into it on a downhill my knee gives up. Walking 4mi home keeping a knee straight is painful work. Humph

^^did my first run in my free 5.0s today, quite enjoyable despite feeling like i had nothing in the legs for some reason, pretty sure they're only good for short runs though.
Will be testing my new pair of nike lunarglide 3s I got today for my long runs, figured a bit more cushioning and a little bit of heel support (without a high arch cushion or medial post) will help me on the slow long runs as my kinvaras tend to feel like my feet are tiring as I get over 6 miles, but that might be me still acclimatising to them .

You running tomorrow Hatbeard?
-
• #6990
Aye.

You in Eastbourne at the moment Dammit?
I wasn't in to running when I used to live there, but I bet a long run up East Dean road to Friston forest, along the Cuckmere river and then up to Beachy Head and the Belle Tout lighthouse would be lush. Maybe not in the high winds though...

15k in the rain today was just what I needed. Hurdling lots of fallen trees was most excellent.
May well be doing the Christmas Parkrun tomorrow morning.
-
• #6993
I was earlier today, and will be again later in the week- I'll give that run a go and report back.
I'm really enjoying running at the moment.

I can't decide if running up 10% hills into a drizzly headwind with the sea lashing against the rocks below is good because it's not dull or bad because I feel slightly demoralised by how incredibly slow I am.
-
• #6995
That sounds amazing. All i get is the knowledge that there are sheep on the other side of the hedge somewhere.
-
• #6996
That wasac lovely 20km run, saw about 10 other runners, half of whom looked like they were having a lovely time and returned my merry Christmas and the other half who seemed to think they were out for solitary punishment, hope they cheer up!

Lovely little 3miles early this morning prior to consuming all the food ever. Little toe has def suffered a little, would appear there's some stitching in the toe of my shoes that rubs. Htfu required. Got a pair of injinji socks for Xmas which should help..
9hrs in the car to France tomorrow followed by another 3miles on arrival. Can't wait.
