It'll end up in slevlessness if you're not careful.

Spreadshirt can do one. Price would just be silly, but handy for mucking around with ideas.
Guessing it's a similar process to ordering other sports kit. Design, quotes and the inevitable list. Before I start fucking around with this further I'd like to point out I have ZERO design abilities whatsoever, that said, if anyone gives enough of a shit to do it I'm happy to order, post etc etc. Oh, I have no experience of the ordering/printing options either, just saying...
Better check with the forum boss that he's ok with the idea as well. Will do that now..Forum logo + pony on a vest(hate running with sleeves) of half decent material sound ok? Presumably will need at least 10 or so before it's worth looking into further. Forum colours would be best I'm guessing.

Any other takers? More importantly, can anyone design it?!

Hold on people, have just pm'd the bossman. Let's wait for his blessings first...
No pink, just forum colours, possibly a pony, possibly not... -

If I get a place in the London Marathon I might sellotape a My Little Pony to myself. God knows I'll need something to cheer myself up.

while we wait...
My GF started running last year with the intention of building up to this year's Reading Half. She absolutely loved it and I was massively impressed by her progress but she got injured and had to defer her entry to next year. She's kept running on and off since spring but she keeps picking up injuries. We've been really careful to stop he building the mileage too quickly and so I'm increasingly convinced that the only way for her to progress is to build up a broader base of strength and fitness to support her run. We definitely aren't after a tri programme but a running programme which balances lower running mileage with complimentary swim/bike/gym. Injury prevention is the key.
Does anyone have any advise for good programmes they've followed that seem to work? Or maybe we're taking completely the wrong approach?

It very much depends on the individual and if she's after becoming a slevless and or it works for the two of you to train together in the pool/on the bike/in the gym then go ahead add swimming and biking but I'd probably suggest adding yoga (or pilates although I know f-all about pilates) instead as it'll add a very low impact way of increasing strength and balance in a way that I found to be very complimentary...

I'm thinking more along the lines of
Time for a designer to step up...
It's down to the bossman at the end of the day, he might not want them, might want them to toe the forum line if they're allowed. If theres free reign and someone wants to go mental with the ponies then I'll still be up for it.
I just want something nice to run in that isn't a charity top that I'm not running for that day... -

Not enough pink, not enough ponies.

Le sigh.
I will get quotes, order and distribute if it happens. Someone who's better with design tings can make sure there's the correct number of ponies/shade of pink... -

This. I'm not fussed about pink, tbh, but there MUST be ponies.

Pony pink.

Any recommendations for a good midweight winter shell and a base layer? Hard to get a feel for it on the www, and don't want to go shopping. 5'10" and 170 lbs
-
• #5868
They ain't glamorous but I really rate Uniqlo heattech baselayers, they come in long and shortsleeve versions and cost around a tenner each.
No idea for the midweight shell though so I'll leave that to other people to recommend. -

What sort of weather / distance are you expecting?
I'm no knighlancer, but I've not encountered anything in the past few years that has necessitated more than a merino layer or two with a hat and gloves.
A shell seems like an unnecessary encumbrance.

Yeah, she has no particular attraction to becoming slvlss in the near future, but since I mainly race triathlons it's a bit easier for her/us if she adds swim and bike to her regime. Yoga is a good shout, we're moving house at the end of the month and she's already started googling yoga classes nearby.

I can only speak for what I use but I like both my ronhill lightweight number (i can't find it online now but it's their lightest weight one). I've only ever felt I needed more during ultras and for them I use a "berghaus voltage" - I bought it in a hurry with very little research but it's light enough and fully waterproof.

I have a very thin jacket by Insport. Bought from NorthernRunner. I love it so much, I still use it despite having worn it to death. I've had replacemets . But cant bring myself to ditch it. Cant find it on t'internet just now.
NorthernRunner now do the Inov8 range. Havent had a chance to grop them though.

I've got one of these, which when twinned with a long sleeve merino base layer, gloves and a hat got me through the coldest parts of last year, wearing a pair of tights on the lower half:
They are VERY reflective, and also quite hot once you get going- I used to stuff the hat in a pocket and open the zip once I'd got up to speed.

Spreadshirt has a mylittlepony image. Haynes sports vest.
If anyone has art skills and wants to do it properly then go for it, failing that I might do a spreadshirt one once I've been paid.
Saw loads of running club tops at Bristol yesterday, they're even worse than most cc ones..
