Whatever floats your boat. -

not sure about that, every little bit off support is felt in my experience, and helps raise the pace just a little! will be at mile 1 and at some other point as well.
this is me appreciating my supporters at about 16 miles last week....

^^There's no such thing as the wrong clothes, just the wrong speed.
Does anyone know if the Expo has wetsuits?
-
• #3335
i think it was probably the right thing to wear, but i didn't realise i should drink less water than usual de to the temperature, had to stop to go to the loo 3 times, which combined with falling flat on my face at mile 10 probably didn't help!

Been weening myself back into running the last couple of weeks, did 7k in around 30 mins today around highbury area and actually felt pretty good afterwards as apposed to wanting to die after previous efforts.
Going to bang out 10 k in a couple of days if there's a break in the weather.

nice one sparky.
will start running again next week, am going to target berlin in september as my next marathon :s

I am ashamed to say I've not run since Monday. Overslept this morning so missed the park run and will be meeting friends who are supporting a runner near HoP tomorrow. On the other hand, I got soaked a few times this week and used the bike more than I normally do on a Saturday.
I'll have to find a half marathon to use as my target for the autumn before xc season starts.
Good luck to all those running tomorrow In the London or locally.

Likewise Hats!
Have a good time out there, gonna have a scout round Greenwich park first thing then if plan works be back up limehouse way for a while after. -
• #3344
Not Eden as I've done that twice. Bristol might be an idea as I have friends who live there. I'll have a look.
I've a few birthdays around that time so I'll need to find another half to do.

Well done to everyone runnIng today. We were out on the course cheering for a bunch of club mates and friends; great day. Must do London again one of these years, smaller races don't really compare...

I did VLM today, kinda - cycled the course twice, then banditted the run, so had to ditch before Embankment before the bandit snatchers. Wasn't much enamoured of it, much prefer a smaller, less impersonal, less rammed event. It's a spectator's event, not an athlete's one, to me.

Lots of fun at VLM today. Cheered and clapped so much my throat and hands hurt.
Gave an extra big cheer to Mrs *m.f but I don't think she saw me. Hope she got the time she wanted!
Feel very inspired to go for a run now but very tired from working the expo/race double whammy... maybe tomorrow...

Cheers hats.bit down due to the warmth we think, 2.56 in the end-still reasonable effort I reckon! Got a little waylaid by crowds on my runaround but managed to fit a swim -sauna at Victoria which was all good though.
Time for a kip on the coach -
• #3349
One of our guys Dave cartwright was fastest 65+ today.
He's seen on telly frequently running behind Nell supermodel which could explain it... -
• #3350
2.56 is still a really good time!! It was so much warmer than expected - I checked the forecast at 6am but when I checked again at 9am it was totally different. I think the pollen count was much higher than expected too, which hopefully wouldn’t have messed up anyone’s race.
Oh, and apparently I was on TV! Now that’s a massive marathon win.
Oh God, gimme a text if you do come across a pair and i'll let you know.
