Good bully session tonight - 2h45 run, including my club session in the middle of it - 40min of Maze Hill repeats (and kept running while the rest of them wasted time with stretching and shit). Best run of the year to date.
Shorts and t-shirt all the way, natch.

rugby shirt and trackie bottoms, no way I could run with a hat (although I do wear a scrum cap in rugby - odd)

I wore a pair of lycra shorts, a heart rate strap, and some Sidis- and overheated as normal

Easy - Some of us here are those rest of them wasting time.
Not that I've turned up to any Tuesday night sessions for an age now.
Just remember - if you go for a 1hr session, and spend 10 mins at the start and end stretching, you've done a 40min session. Tuesday sessions have improved - I've returned.

That, or you live under a sub-station.

That might explain the humming noise

1hr recovery run to work this morning - pins didn't really hurt much, despite last night's effort. Finally beginning to feel like a runner again. Hear me RAWR!!!!
Probably be asleep at desk by 11am, mind.

Mal's bashing out 5ks most days now.. this is bad because I can't keep eating everything in the house if she's actually exercising. :S

Just ran 5k in 25:30! In November I couldn't do more than about 5 minutes continuous running without getting exhausted.. started a walk/run program and finally worked up to 30 mins non-stop. This thread's helped provide the inspiration to get outside a number of times so just thought I'd say thanks!

I hate the cold vs I hate the treadmill...
Possibly getting ill vs possibly dying of boredomHappy at 2 degrees and above...

Bit shorter and slower today - need to see a GP about my knee and heel :-/
I'm trying to stick to the regime anyway. -

Try rolling a lacrosse ball (or something similar) under your foot whilst standing, I had heel and achilles problems a few months ago and this helped me.

6.6km. 33.08mins.
Getting back to where I was before moving to London.

Don't make me cross. There's no such thing as cold, just running too slow. And cold does not make you ill, being in a hot place with germs does. Now get your shorts on and get outside.

I really really hate cold, but wearing tights, long sleeve base layer and a bernie I'm very hot after the first km, so it's not that bad.

^^All true.
Snow happened this morning. Made me do a sub 20min 5k.
And I couldn't stop smiling.
(It was meant to be a 4k jog to the gym, so I wasn't even in proper clothing) -

had a fucking shitty day today. bowl of sympathy pasta and no Thursday run. fuckitall

It was very cold this morning, but it was sunny and bright which instanteneously makes you feel better inside.
Fuck all that winter gloom! -

...(tail between my legs)...I ran to the treadmill if that counts...and ran back...(terrible).
Managed 10km on the treadmill before major boredom set in, wont do that again. Promise.
I was fairly warm. If I run faster, I'd overheat.
As I'm not British, I don't like being cold (yes, continentals maybe have colder winters, but we always wrap up warm - no shorts in the winter, no t-shirts when laying drunk on the street of Newcastle in February for us).
I wear a small Pro beanie hat, baselayer and an Adidas running hoodie, thin fleece gloves (boiling hot) and lycra tights. Snood.
