I may have just ordered a new garmin forerunner so now I have no choice but to bloody run all the time given the expense (my fr620 is nearly 4 years old now)

Sub 40 time.

Anyone do anything fun today? Currently on the way home from Scotland where I got destroyed by pretty much everybody at the Intercounties Fells.

Bet it was fun still?

Most I've done is run for a bus, got 2 x 40min easy 20 walk to do going to make it a bat spotting session on the river path heading out in an hour or so.

I made it out for 20 minutes this morning. The comeback begins.

Bexhill marathon tomorrow, treating it as a slightly fast slightly long training run, anything quicker than my pb will do!

40 miles. 9h28. I underestimated the hole I was digging myself into to finish that one not last.

A bit. My right shin is trying to get my attention, plus both hayfever and midges are in my eyes.

Dukeries 40 around the Robin Hood Way.

Went off a bit too fast and slipped back through the field towards the back. With 5k to go I decided that there wasn't anyone behind me and couldn't let myself be last without a fight. Started hunting the guy in front of me and caught him with 1k to go. Hit him as hard as I could to cross the line about 400m in front of him. Feeling very ill today.

First Jr Parkrun today, 2km. We only just got lapped by the winner. Ran 3/4 of it, straightlined the puddles and showed a turn of speed at the finish. Already asking about next week.
