I think you can display either.
Either you turn auto lap on (either 1mile or 1km... I'm not sure if you can set it for shorter?) and then it displays the average for that lap (possibly rolling, probably not).
Or you turn auto lap off and it just displays the average pace for the whole run.
I've never experimented with any of these options myself, but just from what the GF said and looking online.

Cheers, just reading the DC rainmaker review and that seems to be what is suggested but not totally explicit.

405
405 and 410.
Sooooo shiiiiiit. I gave mine away for free, and the person I gave it to went and bought another different watch within weeks.

Saying that, my 910xt is shit too. It's going back to the shop, and I'm wearing a pink FR10 instead.
-

Whatever you do, don't get the 410....sooooooo shite! The bezel is over-sensitive, they basically engineered a problem that didn't exist. A simple up - down button would have sufficed.
-
• #10357
What's wrong with the 910? I liked my 310 and now like my 910. Only galling thing is that the screen mysteriously acquired a scratch half way through a run when I have no recollection of knocking it.

My 405 is still (touch wood) going strong, I've never had a problem with it. I lock the bezel in wet weather to stop it changing screens.
Also, I turned off all current pace on mine. Average pace for the run, and auto lap every mile with the mile splits is more than adequate I find.

Actually it's the 410 I have. It's fine so long as I don't sweat and it's not raining. Luckily none of those are associated with an activity such as running.

Mine is okay with sweat and rain. It's just when you're at home and want to make adjustments, it skips all over the place.

Anyone doing many double run days? I'm going to be doing upto 2x a week to and from work (6.7miles each way short route) and just wondering what effects might kick in & any warning signs to look out for.
Also considering "bike in run home run in bike home" as an alternative. May alternate over time.

You can always crash here & run if you up this way. 2 legs of the pennine way are appx 14mile point to point between train stations near nice pubs at finish, might hit them up in the spring.

It's not as bad as the sum off it's parts. When I've spent time away from running, I find a couple or even three short runs are a lot easier than doing even three quarters of the whole distance at once.
Might just be me.

Want to test my legs with a cheeky 6k run after my 11am call. Will be interesting as I took a knock to my knee playing 5-a-side last night. Hoping all will be ok for first full (12k) run into work tomorrow.

Survived, even managed a fastest 1k according to Strava (a paltry 4:44) it even felt "ok" on my running scale:-
hard, slow, ok-ish, ok, good-ish, good
(There's only been one "good" and nothing higher than that. ok = tolerable, anything less and I've been fighting the urge to give up at various points.)
Didn't notice any asymmetry so I guess my knee is ok for running, no extra pain during or since.
Thanks all.
Agreed with the 405, that bezel is so bloody annoying.
Just to check, from what @ewanmac was saying, is the average pace on the 110 the average for the whole run or just the last 1km (whether rolling or every 1km or whatever)? If the latter then I can see that being a reasonable replacement for current speed.
