    +1
listened to most of it on radio. looking fwd to highlights.

  • yep i was on TMS all morning missed some of the England Innings but caught up just as it got interesting. what odds on a tie game, would have been epic had Swan nicked the 2 runs at the last

i prefer it as it was. would have been harsh on Tendlya and Zak if England had won. conversely harsh on Strauss, Bresnan if India had won. this was a fair and exciting result.

*i don't support Eng so it's easy for me to say!

  • disappointing result saturday but not too discouraging as regards tournament progress. team batting 2nd in day nighters at the Premadasa always have their work cut out.

and we were missing our #1 bowler so Pak's total to chase was bigger than it would've been with malinga. still only fell 11 runs short so can take some satisfaction in that defeat.

the remaining concern is that kapu and silva have both had one chance so far and both fucked it (in different ways). there's no chandimal in the squad or kandamby/another batsman, so we could really do with one of these two finding form.

  • Enthralling game yesterday - England need to look at the bowling, small ground but Anderson needs to get better. Powerplay decision really hurt. India also look vulnerable in the bowling dept.

  • Yeah, Malinga will be a massive lift for us.

yep, they have some weaker filler bowlers. but what team has 50 overs of quality bowling? eng have to use colly or KP.

but true india (and SL) suffer from having only 1 world class seamer

  • YEA BOI!!!

Mali just got a hattrick. and then another wicket 3 balls later

  • yea this is turning out to be a good competition... for a change

  • 6-38 including 5 (albeit the kenyan tail) in 2 overs.

btw we're having forum nets sessions on sundays in paddington. there's a thread somewhere. bring any kit, ability, experience you have but none required.

  • lasith malinga stats are incredible.. 6/38 in 8 overs. being sri lankan feels good.. aye.

  • hell yeah

  • Dilshan, really is an awesome batsman. As for Malinga, he made mincemeat of the Kenyan lineup, you know whats coming, but it seems impossible to deal with sometimes!

  • 327 - Gives the bowlers a chance to get some much needed practice. Need to sort out a strategy for the batting though - niether fish nor fowl in the last 10 overs at the minute.

  • 167/5 after 31 overs, (RR 8.8) a very tall order for ireland

  • 103 from 83? Hardly a big ask. Oh it was off a powerplay, O'brian's 80 from 40.

  • o'brien hits fastest century in the tournament..

    101 runs
    off 52balls
    13-4s
    6-6s

    is that a world record??
england making hard work of this!!
