Edscoble and myself have a combined proposition...

I really want the front end, and he really wants the rest. If, between us we make a donation of £150 to 'moving mountains', would you be prepared to let the bike go to 2 very good homes?
-

Or how about give the bike to someone who can temporarily store it then we hold a raffle, £2 a ticket money goes to the server/messenger charity/other bike related cause.
+1 Moog beat me to it. And for FFS it's up to the bike's owner where the money goes; as long as it's not vivisection then I don't mind.
"i like moogs idea, but surely everyone in the whole world would be prepared to pay a little more say £20 for a chance to own a really nice bike then the charity and server could be fed for quite a while!"
And there is a big difference for some of us between £2 and £20. The guy's doing a really nice thing and people are ragging on him. -

The raffle is a genius idea. £20 per ticket. Why not put a teeny percentage of tickets towards DB's charges for the website and then all the rest to the kids in Kenya? That way the forum gets a little loving, one member gets a little more loving, and the Kenyan kids get a whole lot of love!
I know DB is hardly starving, but it might be good to help out the site too? A teeny bit…

Hell yeah raffle!!
-
• #92
£20 is prohibitively expensive.
-
• #93
3 quids would do it frankly, says if there's 75 members in the raffle, that give us a clear figure of 225 quid.
-
• #94
I reckon in the region of £5 per ticket is more reasonable, then if you feel like donating £20, you can quadruple your chances, and still be giving the same ammount of money to charity. a lot of people on here simply can't afford to throw £20 at such a long shot.

love you man!
we need to hook up- its been way too long.

I think Bush Bros should hold individual interviews with everyone who wants it so he can truly decide who is most deserving.
-

Bike is shit. Sling it in the river and be done with it..

that isn't very fair- surely the airfare would be prohibitive for the kenyan kids to make their claim.

+1 for the raffle.
The donator makes the rules and tells us.We don't need to know what he does with the proceeds. End of story.
