Order at least 1 size down they come up very big. I’m a 43.5 in giro and 44 in bont and have several pairs , 42 for summer and 43 for winter with really thick socks. Just ordered another 2 pairs can’t go wrong at £10

Set a pair up tubeless weekend just gone - a little sidewall leakage but holding well. Good deal at that price!

Why did you have to post that?? It made me spot something else. So now I’d messaged that seller and you may have cost me £££££££££ ;)

Mine arrived in 24hours.
Ordered 43 as my Giro and my mavic coz I got a slightly longer left feet.
Generally wide and perhaps 42 could have been a better option but not fussy about final trial! -

Anybody want to swap their size 44 Doricas for my 45's before I decide whether to send them back? I should have read the sizing advice before snapping some up, they do seem weirdly long compared to my Giros in the same size.

The RRP seems very high for a 4130 cro-mo frame.

its almost blasphemy to say this for any QBP brands on here

I can't actually tell the difference between any of the grades of steel in my frames. But just saying...

Any recommendations for a sale wheelset? My rear wheel seems to have developed a wobble and accompanying odd vibrating noise.

I feel like I could make a simple Columbus zona tubed frame and fork, fillet brazed and powdercoated in a small batch for similar money to those RRP prices. Are they made in the UK? I'd earn more than I did on a stainless kitchen island I just made for a customer, that's for sure.

US brand so it would be a weird move

Had not realised that a big block frame RRP is now £1k. Cosmic stallion has also gone from £1300 > £2050 since I tried to buy one

Very silly prices aren't they.

Yeah that would be cool

I just make bike frames for fun and side thing, but with a good chainstay/seatstay notching jig and a good set up, a simple fillet brazed frame would be about 10h work ready for powder. Maybe a bit less, maybe a bit more. TIG is quicker of course, and it's easy to make a frame more complicated isn't it.
Pick your daily rate £300-500+vat depending on the scale of your set up, employees, Liability insurance, etc etc.
Add £200-300 for tubeset and drop outs.
£60-120 for powdercoat depending on how many the same colour.
There has to be another 2h after powdercoat doing threads, stickers, packing etc.But most framebuilders talk of the hours/days discussing geometry and spec with customers - which inevitably adds to the cost of a custom frame and why so many try and do batches and reduce choice - That's a time-problem if you are doing 2 or 3 bikes a week and have 10+ customers discussing spec at any one moment - that's a lot of desk time.

(Of course, it's possible to spend 30h+ making a fillet brazed frame too, but it won't necessarily ride better or be stronger).
....and to get to that point you've possibly spent £5-10k on equipment plus monthly overheads haven't you.
Point is, £1500 for big-batch made simple steel frame and fork seems alot.
Sole came unstuck on the first pair I had which were the Velcro version, I now have the lace up ones and they seem to be lasting better, maybe because I’m not riding clipped in as much these days.
