Culling is such a boring way to deal with an excess of users.
In Iain M. Banks The Algebraist, the Dwellers of the Gas Giant of Nasqueron routinely hunt their young for fun. Perhaps we could develop a system for killing off users too damn lazy to post every single day of their life. I favour something involving crossbows, napalm and gun turrets

we could pick 100 users every couple of months and have a 'Long Walk' with them for amusement and to keep the numbers down.

I voted yes but I've actually changed my mind already...if someone only comes on here once and that keeps them interested in cycling that's got to be a good thing right?
Besides, it's not some elitist club...

coots (those black waterbirds with the white bit on their head) give birth to lots of young then proceed to swim away and turn round and peck at the ones that try to keep up the one that persists as the others die off is the one they feed and bring up.
upsetting for the townies and those with an idealised view of mother nature (people with cat fridge magnets and an aversion to touching meat) but it helps the species survive.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Long_WalkThought this might have been the old viking way of honorable (Valhalla certified) suicide. Also known as 'the walk'.
Cut out an end of your large intestine.
Spike to the ground with a stick.
Then walk around said stick as long as you can.Cant say it appeals.

Hold on a mo, what the hell is wrong with using a cat as a fridge magnet?

Cats aren't generally known for their magnetic qualities.
You'd have to fill it with magnetised iron filings first.
It all seems a bit too much effort, tbh. -

A stylish, interactive and fluffy fridge magnet is never too much effort. Besides, the claws are excellent for hanging shopping lists and postcards from.

WTF!? Paul Churchill is the registrant... are Rollapaluza wanting to set up a rival to what LFGSS and independent forums do?
Hmm... not happy.
I've always really strongly believed that cycling communities and initiatives in general work when they're not fragmented. I hope that Rolla aren't wanting to do this.

Maybe this is the war we need.

They only bought it last month too. I should've registered it ages ago.
Hope they can clarify their intent, I don't really want to compete with them or for the community to be split. It does so much good dagnammit.
