Motorhead, Maiden, Priest and even to a certain extent the Ramones i could kind of forgive, but i must say I nearly cried with rage when i went in there last year only to find they were selling 'aged' or 'distressed' (or whatever the fuck you want to call it) Bauhaus T-shirts.
How VERY dare they?!
arf. i do sympathise to an extent but really. try and keep in in persepctive. it's just the way the world of fashion/advertising/marketing works. urban outfitters are doing sonic youth shirts at the moment. almost got the girlfriend one for christmas but as i rabidly love SY and she doesn't have a clue about them i thought it might be a bit cruel. i got her an awesome purple rain one instead.
regarding topshop, to be honest i'm surprised this didn't happen earler and it doesn't bother me in the slightest. at the end of the day it's a bunch of brightly coloured clothes aimed at teens displayed on bikes. i don't see anything particularly pernicious about it. as far as i can tell the bikes they've chosen for their "brightly coloured clothes on bikes" display happen to be of a variety that is enjoying surge in mainstream popularity at the moment. who fucking cares quite frankly?

All doing one footed trackstands no less!
I wonder what they are going to do with the bikes and wheels when they've finished with them?
Oh and notice cassettes on the wheels behind... Fixed fail. timing fail

i imagine this is why they did the window. when i was working on magazines, i used to call things in for shoots and then blag them afterwards...

Sub-zero coolness is a cross that Fuji riders have to bear, it's so obvious that even the high-street chains have spotted it.

Next.Could've bet £100 you'll be first to answer!
Really, learn something new everyday, thought it was a lifestyle. Forgive me for my ignorant, racist remarks

Also - why are sweat bands hanging on the handlebars? Is this a new trend I am missing.
And another thing.... those bikes aren't locked up?

"As too were SPX - as endorsed by pikey hardcore ravers from Milton Keynes"
As some one who grew up in Milton keynes i can confirm this as true....and i think in certain areas of MK they still are wearing them while raving to 'ardcore ravesets from dj ratty & dougle
i had one pair of troop ( it was a silly time) but never was swayed by peer pressure to try SPX.

I had a pair of Troop Cobra and Pro Performance, ace at the time but wank now! Cringeworthy
-
• #141
There was a rumour that troop were owned by the KKK or something, and that if you ripped off the sole it said underneath something along the lines of "thanks for giving us your money, you stupid n****r". True story.

I like the bars on the Charge.
Me too, old school looking drops, look really shallow with a sweep, they'd make for lovely bars on a retro cruiser fixed

It wasn't a true story, it was an urban myth. Me and my mates ripped off all the soles on ours when they were fucked up. Nothing but dry, hard glue
Same urban myth as the Phillip Morris/Marlboro were racist, remember, the one about the fag packet with KKK(thre sides of the packet), OroblJew(Marlboro turned upside down)

those are great rumours. i remember a rumour about odwalla juice (an american juice brand) being owned by the kkk. the proof was supposedly a funny "k" symbol on the packaging. which it turns out, infact means that the juice was... wait for it... kosher.
