clive you are coming out to box hill soon. it's only a 40 mile loop just a bit hillier, if you think of it as the same energy expelled as a flat 80miler you will piss it.
Mr S - yes. My next venture is likely to be to Box Hill for some reps and flapjack.
Shall we set a date? I am very keen to head to Box Hill.
All this South-West stuff is very time-consuming.
If my ankle heals up, Clive, we'll get a RPLZ run heading out North-East. There's either undulating routes round the lanes or a sort of ven diagram double loop that's 10 miles round Epping Forest with a couple of interesting climbs (and better road surface than Boxhill). The loop can be done as many times as you fancy, and is only about 10 miles out from EC1/N1.
BMMF I am very keen to do this as and when.

hippy and I are doing the Muswell Hill rep route set by BMMF this Thursday. My feeling on hills is that it is better for me to ride out there with others and then rep at my own pace because there is no way on God's earth that I am ever going to keep pace over a long stretch of climbs - witness my pathetic riding down to the Catford Hill Climb and my performance in the Burgess Hill Rumble. I am always up for Box Hill (as soon as my saddle is sorted) or North East Hills.
Let's take this discussion to the Other Forum.

Why don't you join, and empty your potty mouth over there?
You could 'get into bed' with Caspar on the mtb front.
